SC Fuels CEO and leadership

Steve has over 20 years’ experience in the fuel distribution industry. Prior to becoming CEO, Steve held a wide range of roles at SC Fuels, which ultimately led to becoming CEO. SC Fuels, a family owned business, is one of the nation’s largest distributors of petroleum products, serving the western United States.

Steve is a former board member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Cal State Fullerton, Mihaylo College of Business, Economics and Chapman University Board of Governors, as well as a former Executive Director on the board of the Fuel Relief Fund, a non-profit organization providing free fuel immediately after a major disaster.

During his free time, Steve enjoys traveling, snowboarding, boating, piloting, and off-road racing.

Ed is our Chief Financial Officer and oversees all of Accounting, Treasury, Finance, and Credit & Collections. Ed brings extensive experience working with banks, vendors, customers, board of directors, family shareholders, and senior executive management teams. He works well with cross-functional teams solving company issues related to inventory variances, strategic planning, employee benefits, cash flow management, and fixed asset analysis. Ed earned his MBA in Finance from Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and a member of the Illinois Certified Public Accountants Society (ICPAS).

I am results-driven technology leader with 20 years of experience implementing technology platforms and building teams to support digital businesses. I am an effective communicator and leader that articulates a vision and inspires teams to execute on objectives. I am a strong proponent of cloud technologies and bring significant business acumen to the table to first understand the business goals, financials, constraints and ultimately work backwards from the customer to deliver technology solutions. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and live in Mission Viejo, CA with my wife and two children. In my free time, I enjoy reading investing books/blogs, golf, mountain biking, and the ocean.
