  • FS Collateral Specialist

    The individual will be responsible for maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with ScanSource guidelines and procedures, in addition to commercial credit laws. In addition, the Collateral Specialist ( CS ) performs activities as needed to ensure Uniform Commercial Code ( UCC ) compliance in the FS team's daily management of its accounts receivable portfolio. Review third-party invoices for accuracy and submit to ScanSource's Accounts Payable department for payment. The CS is instrumental to FS Leadership through managing the document review process with members of the FS team and ScanSource's internal legal counsel and ensuring timely feedback to both internal and external sales partners. This position is critical to ensuring that ScanSource, Inc.'s ( ScanSource ) collateral and/or security position(s) are perfected to avoid potential material losses as it relates to the extension of credit to sales partners. Utilize online and third-party resources to perform UCC searches within the appropriate state in which ScanSource has or will be potentially filing a UCC-1 financing statement. Discuss and negotiate sales partner revisions of ScanSource documents and review sales partner originated documents and contracts for acceptability. Perfect ScanSource's security interest by preparing and sending notification letters to other secured parties when filing financing statements.
