In July 2003 she decided that what people needed was a strong safe and simple way to scent the space around them.
In October, 2007 an additional 14,000 sq-ft distribution center was opened in Illinois to handle Scentsy’s growth in the Eastern United States.
By then end of 2008 several other injection machines had been added and Scentsy had more than doubled their footprint in their building to 100,000 sq-ft, and had expanded to the company to include Puerto Rico.
In 2009 the Direct Selling Association awarded Scentsy its highest honor available to young companies; the Rising Star Award, for its growth and commitment to ethical business practices.
Since 2009, our annual summer giving event has raised more than $2.6 million USD for local charities, so you can bet we’ll keep rockin’.
2010 brought new honors for the company: Scentsy was included in the Direct Selling News Global 100 list of top direct selling companies, as well as being named the number one consumer products company on the Inc.
In 2010, it was ranked 19th on the Inc.
In April 2011, Scentsy expanded to Europe with a successful launch in both the UK and Germany; by the end of the year, the company had also launched in Ireland.
In May 2012, Scentsy went one step further with the release of a second brand, Velata, which brings family and friends together through fun, delicious food.
In the fall of 2013, the Scentsy Family continued to grow, launching in Mexico, Australia, and Poland!
Scentsy has since moved out of it's original shipping container and into this beautiful building and campus built in 2014 not more than just a few miles from that shipping container where Scentsy was launched.
