What You Will Do:
* Ensure that quality control systems are in place, used within the organization and are compliant with all relevant regulations, including industry standards and company policies. Develop any missing parts in Quality control system.
* Conduct routine inspections of products and components to ensure they comply with work/build instructions specifications.
* Keep records of all material purchases, inspect samples from purchased material, identify supplier problems with respect to quality and delivery, and recommend actions to solve these problems if necessary.
* Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
* Assist in the development of product work standards/instructions and operating procedures.
* Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
* Identify areas of improvement in the operations processes, suggest/implement corrective actions and develop methods to measure improvement and monitor processes.
* Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and equipment failures related to product quality and suggest corrective measures.
* Prepare and present reports summarizing the results of quality assurance activities.
* Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to reduce defects and improve product reliability.
* Develop Internal audit plans. Participate in internal and external audits as required.
* Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance training programs for operations.
* Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to product quality and operation processes.
* Participate in continuous improvement for the department to improve efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Engineering degree
* 4 years of experience working in a quality role within manufacturing
* Familiarity with quality assurance standards and methodologies, such as ISO, Six Sigma, etc.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
* Strong experience or ERP systems
* Strong attention to detail and organization skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of logistics, compliance, and handling hazardous materials.
* Data management
* Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills

The Quality Technician III supports the Quality Engineering group through processing First Article Inspection (FAI) and Part Approval Process, selective inspection, analysis and processing of internal Nonconformance Reporting (NC) material and other administrative and logistical support duties. Represents the Quality Department in witnessing and documenting UAV flight acceptance test activity.
Position Responsibilities
Processes inbound or outbound FAI and deliverable submissions accurately and timely including: receipt and analysis of parts and/or supporting documentation; completion of associated records and logs; communication of submission status as needed to QEs, managers, engineers or interested parties; processing of parts after completion; maintaining records and files associated with submissions; and other related tasks
Conducts selective inspection under the direction of the QE group including: receipt and verification of material, completion and maintenance of related documentation, communication of inspection results to concerned parties and processing of material after verification using Agile/Oracle database
Processes internal non-conforming material as needed in support of QE including: retrieval and analysis of material, interpretation of preliminary findings and restatement of problem statements to ensure understanding of problem, processing material through the necessary NC processes, communication of status to concerned parties, maintaining necessary documentation and processing material to internal and external suppliers
Provides general support of QEs including communication, Corrective Action Request processing, product evaluation, and sorting activities under exceptional circumstances, and interfacing with other team members as necessary to complete assigned tasks in support of continuous improvement initiatives using A3, Six Sigma DMAIC forms
Leads & facilitates problem solving activities such as Fishbone, 5-Why, Fault-tree, etc. Plans and coordinates QA Technician I and II activities and provides general guidance

Responsible for creating the Final Inspection documentation package including COC, TDR's, etc., and as necessary support internal/external customer inspection
Represents and supports QEs during internal and 3rd party audits regarding the essential functions above and as needed regarding our measurements system and documented system
Develops and maintains process instructions for quality-related activities

The Manufacturing Engineer III designs and operates the manufacturing systems for AeroVironment's Unmanned Air Vehicles. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer chooses the best technologies and processes for manufacturing, planning and designing the factory as well as managing the maintenance & continuous improvement of the manufacturing process. One has strong knowledge in manufacturing production processes, specifically creating and monitoring automated systems and new technology development. One defines, maintains, and supports manufacturing processes utilized in the manufacture of Unmanned Air Vehicles.
Position Responsibilities
Creates and manages equipment specifications, equipment documentation for development, qualification and support of assembly and test equipment for production
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and apply Six Sigma methodology to achieve continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and lead time
Generate Value Stream Maps to reduce cycle time, waste, variation, and low production yields
Works on Manufacturing Strategies and capacity models for new and current products, including estimation and maintenance of capital requisitions
Generates new and reviews existing work instructions, assembly procedures and supporting documentation controlling the manufacturing process
Cost estimating of new tooling and fixtures required to support production floor. Leads Make/Buy analysis on assemblies with cross-functional team
Performs Design for Manufacturing, cost, and reliability analysis on new products with the design engineering team
Works with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure receipt of conforming parts and assemblies
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Test Engineering or similar field in Aerospace, Automotive, or Commercial industries
Experienced in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology is required
Experienced with electro-mechanical manufacturing, drawings, procedures and Bill of Materials is required
Experienced using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, Project), MiniTab, Oracle, Agile, and CAD programs (SolidWorks is preferred)
Occasional travel to supplier sites (up to 30%)

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for quality aspects of production projects through the development, build, and test stages. This includes analysis of data, use of problem solving skills, and proper maintenance of project records.
Actively participates in definition of machine test requirements, justification of acceptance limits to assure compliance with requirements.
Manages Work In Progress (WIP) and Operation Acceptance Test (OAT) inspection data and prepares statistical and operational performance reports, as requested by management.
Working with the Continuous Improvement team to perform process capability studies or special studies necessary to increase control and lower total quality costs.
Manages WIP materials traceability and assists with Pre-Check and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Vehicle Reporting for our customers.
Coordinates with Engineering to ensure that all ‘redline' drawings are captured and processed in accordance with the engineering change procedure.
Responsible for updating work instructions and coordinating the maintenance of work instructions for all business departments and relationship to ISO 9001 Quality Management System procedures, as needed.
Reviews and actively comments on drawings, calculations, specifications, and other design inputs/outputs as required.
Provides direction and monitor performance in the development & application of inspection plans: First Article Inspection, In-Process and Final Product Inspection, Sampling Plans, inspection and acceptance criteria and Design Validation Testing.
Performs internal audits to assess compliance to Standards and to the internal Quality System, including investigation, presentation of observations and findings, and reporting.
Applies sound systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality constraints/issues/part problems and openly sharing findings during Gemba Team walks and during project reviews.
Provides “lessons learned” report outs (for example A3/8D) and own” the representation of such” to manage for cooperative enlistment of support.
Provides trending analysis on quality corrective actions/countermeasures and performance metrics, as well as key supplier failure data.
Ownership of supplier part inspection and failure analysis - to drive quality requirements back to the source. (whether design or manufacturing caused)
Qualifications
7-10 yrs. of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment; strong electrical/electronic, mechanic/hydraulic, and/or machining/fabrication experience helpful
5-7 years in a Quality role preferred
BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering discipline or: An AS degree and/or previous experience will be considered in lieu of a BS degree

Understanding of GD&T and CMM measurement reporting and inspection layout metrology

As our Quality Control Technician focused on switchboard testing, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality and operational readiness of the electrical distribution systems that power our cutting-edge AI infrastructure. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing protocols for switchboard assemblies at various stages of production. Your understanding of electrical testing principles, safety regulations, and switchgear functionality will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential issues before deployment. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a solid background in electrical testing and quality control within a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure adherence to specifications and maintain the highest levels of product quality. What You'll Be Working On:
Switchboard Testing and Inspection: Execute comprehensive testing procedures for switchboard assemblies, including but not limited to visual inspections, electrical continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, and operational checks.
Test Procedure Execution: Follow detailed test procedures and checklists to ensure consistent and thorough evaluation of switchgear performance against engineering specifications and industry standards.
Electrical Testing and Verification: Execute electrical testing procedures, including continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, functional testing, and other relevant electrical tests to ensure switchboard meets performance specifications and safety requirements, energized functionality testing.
Test Equipment Management: Ensure that all electrical testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to safety guidelines.
Test Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Proficiently operate various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, Hi-Pot testers) and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of this equipment.
Data Acquisition and Reporting: Accurately record and document test data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential failure points. Generate clear and concise test reports summarizing findings.
Non-Conformance Reporting: Document any test failures or non-conformances, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to support root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Standards and Compliance: Ensure all testing activities adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI), and internal quality management system requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve testing issues, provide feedback on design for testability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on basic quality checks and testing procedures related to switchgear assemblies.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
Education: Minimum High School graduate or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred, and equivalent field experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in electrical testing and quality control roles, with a strong focus on testing medium and/or low voltage switchgear assemblies.

This position reports to the Process Optimization & Growth Manager and supports new project development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop modifications to optimize the process, improve reliability, improve safety, improve sustainability, or improve environmental performance. Project size may range from small single unit modifications to large capital projects involving multiple refinery process units.
Drive assigned scoping studies and provides leadership to idea generation in Conceptual. Lead process engineering for comprehensive Conceptual content. Work with business and planning resources to develop and understand business case(s) and associated economic drivers.
Develop project economics and work with Engineering to complete decision support packages.
Own process related deliverables and define a solid scope in Feasibility for effective Definition stage deliverables. Support detailed engineering resulting in complete "Issued for Construction" drawings that maintain design against prior stage definition, overall project goals, and Implementation stage objectives. Provide process input for project pre-startup review and startup. Work with unit engineers to organize and conduct unit performance tests to determine if benefits are realized.
Provide process engineering technical leadership to ensure clarity and accuracy of design against project goals and objectives. Proactively engage with company process engineering SMEs, local and corporate environmental, and Operations to insure scope clarity and accuracy against project goals and objectives. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
Develop technical and scope documents to support process engineering oversight of assigned projects. Provide oversight to engineering contractors performing process work for project development.
Lead development of PFDs, P&IDs, PSM activities and reviews, control narratives, and cause & effect documents from initial design. Participates in development and implementation of operator training and operating manuals.
Provide leadership to development, maintenance and overall quality of other typical process engineering deliverables. These include process design basis, heat and mass balances, process simulations, equipment sizing and design, ISBL/OSBL (inside battery limits, outside battery limits) interface conditions, and other items relevant to assigned projects.
Supports project closeout process-related activities such as as-built drawings and MOC (Management of Change) closeout. Assists in lessons learned on project performance.
Develop project justification and submittals for annual capital budget.
