The candidate should be proficient in the set-up and operation of manual lathes, with exposure to CNC. We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer Intern to join our Field Service team for the summer of 2025. This team supports the maintenance, installation and repair of Beckman Coulter products at customer sites used for medical research and laboratory work. Interns enjoy working on a project that matches their area of interest while collaborating closely with talented and experienced Field Service Engineers. The results of your work will contribute directly to our products or processes, providing improvements to health and medicine around the globe. Responsibilities: Work on a project under the direction of a mentor and in collaboration with other highly talented field service engineers. Document your findings and present your work to the entire team at the end of the summer. Because we service medical devices in the field, projects will require on-site work. Minimum Qualifications: Pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biological science, engineering, or related field. Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Hold and maintain a valid Driver's License; meet Vendor Credentialing requirements; ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. along with ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively. Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures Enthusiasm for learning new technologies. Outstanding documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
