As EHS Specialist you'll be the operational lead driving our Environment, Health & Safety programs across the plant. Monitor and drive completion of the identified corrective actions. • Lead and Maintain emergency response plans and the site; conduct drills for fire, severe weather, chemical release, and medical emergencies; AED/First-Aid programs and equipment readiness. • Develop EHS training (onboarding, job-specific competencies, electrical safety, PIT/forklift, LOTO, machine guarding, chemical handling), with robust record-keeping • Manage environmental aspects: Waste management (hazardous, universal, electronic waste), profiles, manifests, and vendor oversight. Air emissions, refrigerants, VOCs, and permitting (as applicable). Stormwater and SPCC programs; routine inspections and spill response readiness. • Support GHG/energy, water, and waste reduction initiatives and sustainability reporting. • Establish strong networking with government agencies fire department, OC police, water storm district. • Manage Leading indicators (near-miss reporting, safety observations, inspections, behavioral safety) and coach leaders to build a strong safety culture. • Use Schneider Electric EHS systems/tools to log events, track actions, and manage training compliance.
