JOB SUMMARY:
The Behavioral Health Specialist will be responsible for providing episodic behavioral health and clinical services to a wide range of individuals and families including but not limited to foster children, their biological families, foster families and/or adoptive families as well as other children, adolescents, adults and families covered by other insurance plans/payers as assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete initial diagnostic assessments on all patients assigned to determine treatment needs, as well as conduct ongoing assessments to determine when clinical goals have been achieved and service delivery is no longer indicated;
Develop and implement initial treatment plans and update treatment plans to include age appropriate clinical interventions/objectives/goals that are observable and measurable;
Provide support and crisis management services as needed or as requested by supervisor;
Prepare and maintain all required treatment records, documentations and reports in the electronic records;
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment;
Encourage patients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships;
Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, or tests;
Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including federal- and state-mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress notes;
Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes;
Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information (e.g. suicide risks, etc);
Act as client advocates to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations;
Provide consultation to and coordinate care of patients with health center primary care staff;
Utilize therapeutic modalities that match the fast-paced primary care environment such as behavioral and cognitive behavioral modalities, solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, etc.
Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status;
Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs on clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives;
Consult with PCPs in real-time to enhance understanding of the patient, provide decision support for treatment planning and assist in the implementation and monitoring of biopsychosocial treatment plans;
Monitor patients' use of medications;
Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies;
Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary;
Gather information about community mental health needs or resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy;
Supervise other counselors, social service staff, assistants, or graduate students, as needed;
Plan or conduct programs to prevent substance abuse or improve community health or counseling services;
Close all charts within forty-eight (48) hours by the end of the week; as required by contacted funding sources: including assessments, progress notes, and billing;
Abides by clinic's policies and procedures and Behavioral Health Department Policies and Procedures;
Attend on-site/off-site community engagement activities and on-site/off-site clinic events as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned to support HOPE Clinic's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LCDC;
Current license to practice in Texas;
Bilingual (Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic and/or Spanish with English) is strongly preferred;
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
Abide by respective licensing board Code of Ethics.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree, PhD., or PsyD. With minimum of two years of experience working with children, families, and other individuals with behavioral health issues. Experience with foster and/or adoptive children and families and knowledge of the DFPS system is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Above average skills in language ability as well as public speaking and writing;
Strong clinical and assessment skills, cultural competence, basic casework skills (referrals, advocacy);
Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to children, adolescents and adults;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with primary care staff, patients and other behavioral health clinicians.

Is an active member of assigned treatment teams. Assumes assigned responsibility within the team in accordance to program needs which may include operating effectively within a Teaming Model and act as a liaison with other community agencies and resources.
Meets Agency service percentage standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if applicable.
Completes other assigned program operational tasks in accordance with supervisory directives.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Must possess a Bachelors Degree. No previous experience required.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience providing direct care services to children and families in a mental health or social services setting.
60 units of college, or four years' experience, or Bachelors' degree.
Skills with regard to engaging and working with parents as partners and in working successfully with a strength-based approach.
Crisis and case management experience is helpful and desired.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Previous experience working with the public and government agencies.
Position/Program Requirements:
Must possess a reliable mode of transportation to travel to assigned client homes, schools, offices, etc. If personal vehicle is the mode of transportation, must meet Agency's driving requirements.

The Bureau of Children, Youth, Families & Developmental Disabilities (CYF-DD) is responsible for planning and monitoring much of NYC's comprehensive network of child and adolescent community mental health services. CYF-DD relies on research and surveillance to guide its decisions around service planning, implementation and evaluation and incorporates a health equity lens into its work. CYF-DD oversees a portfolio of over 100 programs and supports a family-driven, individualized and strength-based approach to care. The portfolio includes the NYC Perinatal and Early Childhood Mental Health (P+ECMH) Network, consisting of specialized clinics for children birth to five and their families as well as pregnant persons, and a Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC).
The Evaluation Specialist for P+ECMH Programs will be supervised by the Program Data Manager and work closely with rest of the P+ECMH team to support the evaluation and quality improvement of perinatal and early childhood mental health services. This role focuses on data management and analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and capacity building to enhance behavioral health services for families of young children and pregnant and parenting caregivers.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
* Data Management and Analysis.
* Collaborate with the Program Data Manager, P+ECMH Network Providers and IT to support data collection through the Maven or other data systems
* Ensure clean and accurate data sets for analysis and reporting by reviewing provider submitted data,
* Perform statistical analyses of mental health treatment, family peer support data and consultation data.
* Develop, review and update SAS code to analyze data
* Create internal and external data reports with visualizations
* Program Evaluation and Improvement:
* Support the program evaluation of the P+ECMH Network
* Collaborate with the Data and Program Coordinator in reviewing mental health consultation data and training center reports
* Use data to identify areas for quality improvement and inform technical assistance provided to contracted providers
* Participate in annual site visits to review data submissions and program performance
* Collaboration and Communication:
* Support the Director and team in overseeing the performance of contracted providers
* Attend meetings and trainings as requested
* Maintain clear documentation across data submissions and shared drives

Minimum Qualifications
1. For Assignment Level I (only physical, biological and environmental sciences and public health) A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
To be appointed to Assignment Level II and above, candidates must have:
1. A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization; or

What you'll be doing:
The caseload of this position includes relative/kin and non-relative/kin families who want to be a placement or permanency resource to youth who have just been removed from their parents by child protective services. The Family Worker's role involves engaging, assessing, licensing for foster care, and supporting these families until the youth return home to their parents, or through the adoption process if reunification is not possible. The right person for this position has a deep commitment to helping relative/kin families successfully parent children and teens who have experienced trauma. There is potential for the person in this position to have impact on our agency's continuing advocacy to improve the experience of relatives and kin in the child welfare system, as well our agency's ongoing program development. This is a professional position requiring significant amount of self-direction, some irregular hours and occasional travel throughout the state of Minnesota.
• Engage families and facilitate the Minnesota Child Foster Care/Adoption licensure process, which involves paperwork, training, home safety processes, and home study assessment, among other requirements.
• Work closely to engage families with full disclosure, placement and on-going parenting commitment.
• Maintain a caseload of at least 10 families at various stages of the process, keeping in contact via phone, email, video calls, and in-person contact, which requires a relationship focused and strength based approach with clients who have faced barriers in navigating systems and process.
• Case management duties, specific to assisting families with various barriers, including housing, transportation, etc.
• Frequent and in-depth consultation with peers to develop strategies, promote creativity and maintain balance in this position which has a potential for high stress and emotional investment.
• Build relationships with other individuals, professionals, agencies, and resource partners involved in the lives of relative families to leverage those relationships to achieve permanency.
• Commit to taking time and asking questions to develop a deep understanding of the social and systemic influences that contribute to disparities and over-representation of older youth and families of color in the child welfare system.
• Family Workers spend much of their time in the field, driving to meet with families.
A majority of clients for this position live in the greater metro area, but may live in any part of the state.
• Engaged participation during a six-month probation/onboarding period, which will include partnering with more experienced peers to develop a deep understanding of the role and the practice orientation of Ampersand Families.

The HFO will work closely with family members, operating company management and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that align with the family's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Reporting:
Manage comprehensive financial strategies that align with the family's goals and objectives.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to family members and stakeholders.
Investment Management:
Support CIO in strategic planning by providing timely reporting.
Work closely with operating company management to manage the liquidity needed for multiple investments.
Work with external and internal partners to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
Tax and Estate Planning:
Develop and propose tax-efficient strategies to minimize the family's tax liabilities. Coordinate with external accounting firms.
Oversee estate planning activities, including the management of trusts, a family foundation and other estate planning vehicles for multiple family members.
Coordinate with external estate planning attorneys and other legal counsel as needed to develop multi-generational estate planning strategies.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Develop and implement operational risk management strategies to protect the family's assets and interests.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
Oversee internal controls and financial reporting processes to maintain the security of assets and accuracy of financial information.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the family office team, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to achieve the family office's strategic objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with family members and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or a related field; CPA required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, with an emphasis on taxation, preferably within a family office or private wealth management firm.
Understanding of financial, tax and estate planning focusing on asset protection and risk management.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
