As a First Student Part Time School Bus Driver you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You will be there at the start of the students' day with before-school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home.
No experience as a bus driver is required! We're proud to train you with our industry-leading technology to help you succeed.
Your day will include:
A split shift, which means an early morning before-school pickup and an after-school drop-off with a few free hours in between
A guaranteed shift of hours per school day, no working nights or weekends unless you want to

Drivers are required to operate various vehicles depending on need, with the primary vehicle being a 14-passenger bus with a GVW of less than 26,001. The shuttle service operates from late August to early May (with a summer layoff). The driver is responsible for transporting students to and from designated locations on campus and within the Charleston community according to the established schedule. Safely drive/operate a 12-52 vans/passenger buses on campus and to locations off-campus and or out of town trips on a regular schedule or as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform daily inspections as required. * Fill gas, diesel, oil and charge when needed.
