Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work is performed with considerable independence under the general direction of a supervisor or lead driver. An annual physical examination which grants medical approval to drive.
A valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
Minimum requirements are a Class C CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement. If the bus to be driven has air breaks, then the minimum requirement is a Class B CDL.
Documentation of passing pre-employment Florida Department of Transportation Drug/Alcohol testing requirements.
Level 2 Background Screening as required by Department of Children and Families.
After the first day, the individual must complete the following:
Transportation Training of 8 hours before transporting children.

Summary
The position of Van Driver/Warehouse is responsible for all aspects of customer delivery including packing orders for delivery, mapping delivery routes, handling delivery paperwork, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the delivery vehicle and maintenance records. This person is also involved in warehouse functions including receiving material, maintaining warehouse organization, shipping materials, and preparing customer orders. In addition, the Van driver/Warehouse will work with other branches to ensure customers from across the network receive a consistently high level of service.

Maintain discipline when students are on the bus and report undisciplined students to school authorities.
