Our drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and various other locations. Transport drivers independently follow specified policies, procedures, and standards, under the general supervision of local fleet management.

Job Responsibilities
Perform pre-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Check tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer for general operating requirements and make sure that all required equipment is available and in good operating condition. Note inspection and deficiencies on the pre-trip inspection form.
Drive a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Follow MPC and site specific standard operating procedures for the loading and offloading process.
Perform post-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations. Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork. Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift.
Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to company procedures.
Report all equipment issues in a timely manner.
Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including all DOT regulations.
Physical Requirements Include
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevation.
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50-65 lbs.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Transport individuals as assigned, providing assistance as necessary. At all times, ensure the safe operation of the vehicle, including safe boarding and unloading of passengers. Drivers must have the ability to complete daily pre-trip inspection and accurately complete service logs. Good driving record, valid driver's license and ability to obtain a For Hire Endorsement on your license required.

Job Responsibilities
Perform pre-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Check tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer for general operating requirements and make sure that all required equipment is available and in good operating condition. Note inspection and deficiencies on the pre-trip inspection form.
Drive a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Follow MPC and site specific standard operating procedures for the loading and offloading process.
Perform post-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations. Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork. Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift.
Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to company procedures.
Report all equipment issues in a timely manner.
Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including all DOT regulations.
Physical Requirements Include
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevation.
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50-65 lbs.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to grip a steering wheel for extended periods of time.

The incumbent interfaces with department staff, school staff, parents, and public entities.
Essential Job Functions:
Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest traditions of public education and in support of the District's mission.
Provides classroom instruction for current and newly hired schoolbusdriversin accordance with Lafayette School Corporation BusDrivers' Training Program, including written and oral presentations, group, and individualized training; ensures training materials are current, professional, and meet quality control levels and legal requirements.
Performs behind the wheel instruction (BTW) to reinforce basic driving skills and ensure compliance with state and District safety standards.
Prepares continuous professional development activities/training for drivers; creates and executes individualized training as needed to ensure drivers satisfy training credit requirements for renewal of schoolbusdriver's certification.
Conducts remedial training for busdrivers involved in accidents, incidents, and other situations as determined by the Director of Transportation.
Conducts instruction in use of adaptive equipment used to transport pupils.
Conducts physical qualification examinations on behalf of the Indiana Department of Education.
Conducts observation rides to evaluate bus routes and driver competency.
Maintains records and prepares reports related to the training of schoolbusdrivers.
Drives scheduled bus routes, as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains effective working relationships with other members of the Department as well as other school personnel and community members, including those from diverse cultures or backgrounds or those who speak limited or no English.
Required Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess and maintain a valid Indiana CDL Class B driver's license with all endorsements; Passenger, Air Brake, SchoolBus, and a driving record/certification that meets the standards in place by the Indiana Department of Education and the Lafayette School Corporation.
