Our popular after school program provides a safe, fun, school-age friendly environment for children in the Madison area during non-school hours. This safe and fun environment extends to our bus drivers, who are vital to our after school program! About the role: We're looking for dedicated bus drivers to ensure safe transportation from various schools in the Madison area to our center. Actual assigned routes can vary, and include both public and private schools. We only transport enrolled children to our center- no home routes or stops ! Additional staff support is provided on larger routes. Hours for this position are generally 12:00-3:30 PM Mondays and 1:00-3:30 PM Tuesdays-Fridays with no nights or weekends ! Non-school day hours are available as well, which includes off-site field trips. We offer competitive wages starting at $25+ per hour, depending on experience! Our after-school bus driver positions are seasonal, which allows for flexible scheduling. Increased hours are available for the summer months to provide transportation for our two summer camps. Applicant will not be allowed to begin employment without proof of a valid Commercial Driver Learning Permit. * Possession or ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and no air brake restrictions within 60 calendar days of date of hire. * Excellent driving record, as reported by State Motor Vehicle Department. * Excellent prior work record. * Experience transporting passengers (coach/school bus, transit bus, paratransit, shuttle van, minibus/cutaway, taxi, rideshare, etc.) desired. * Customer service experience desired. Major Responsibilities Practice the Name-to-Face 3-Checkpoint System: Upon entrance into the van; after each child has been properly buckled in; and upon departure from the van.
