SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Transportation 1. Be responsible for the transportation of the students assigned to him by the Director of Transportation. 2. Perform proper maintenance on his bus and see that the proper inspections are completed. 3. Exhibit the qualities of good driving, citizenship, and public relations at all times while operating a school bus. 4. Transport students on approved field trips. 5. See that the local, state, and federal boards of education regulations are carried out. 6. Furnish necessary information when requested by the central office. 7. Attend in-service training when requested. 8. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Transportation, Superintendent, and the Board of Education.

Support Staff/Bus Driver Title: School Bus Driver Seeking a Bus Driver for a full-time position, beginning January 2026. Position is contracted for 6.5 hours per day, 183 contract days per year. CDL license required. Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education, to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips. Essential Functions: Safely drives a school bus on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, loading and unloading students at designated locations. Transports students, teachers and others on school field or activity trips. Inspects assigned bus on a daily basis prior to transporting of passengers to ensure that bus is in good, clean and safe working order. Cleans and refuels bus as needed. Ensures that a communication device is in proper working order before each trip. Reports all mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents, promptly.
