Job Responsibilities:
Operate a schoolbus or van to transport students to and from school safely and on time.

Check to see that clients are properly dressed. Observe if they are wearing shoes, jackets in the winter etc., make sure clients leave the vehicle in the same manner as they boarded.
6. Observe the condition of clients during transport and report any unusual developments to the driver
and facility staff.
Take measures to preserve and restore calm on the vehicle in cases where clients may be acting out.
8. Never leave clients unattended. Make sure that at least one staff member (driver or aide) is present
in the vehicle as long as there are clients on board.
In case of emergency notify dispatch immediately to receive instructions.
File an incident report when a reportable incident warrants.
Check to see that no personal belongings of the client are left on the vehicle.
Be courteous and respectful to all clients, fellow staff members, and personnel at the facilities.
All aides should report for work in uniform (black or navy blue pants and uniform shirts).
Keep vehicle clean inside and outside, including the windows.
Check vehicle before leaving the base to be sure the proper tie downs and harnesses are on board.
Always maintain a professional image and attitude.
