Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.

21 years or older
Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
CDL Required - A or B with passenger endorsements
Excellent communication & customer service skills.
Availability to work: day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts as assigned.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

1. Operate a public transit vehicle to transport passengers on specific routes and timetables.
2. Operators are expected to be familiar with the equipment associated with transit vehicles within the Authority's fleet and changing operational aspects as new fleet vehicles are purchased.

Functions and Physical Demands:
· Must be able to operate the vehicle with the use of a seatbelt.
· All operators must be able to bend over, stoop or squat down to floor for at least 60 seconds.
· Must be able to walk for 10 minutes without rest.
· Use of arms, legs and body torso to climb steps into bus while maintaining three points of contact, assist passengers when necessary and maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when working on slippery surfaces during winter months and all weather conditions.
· Must have the ability to sit without discomfort for prolonged periods of time on a variety of driver's seats in different models of buses. SchoolBusDrivers are responsible for the safe delivery of students to and from school along set routes, adherence to schoolbus safety, bus stop safety standards, and daily vehicle inspections, among other duties.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old, w/a valid driver's license, 3 years personal driving experience and have a clean driving record. Candidates must be able to pass pre- employment background checks & drug screen.

Pay Range: SchoolBusDriver: 25.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Drive a SchoolBus route - picking up and dropping off student passengers at established stops on the route.
Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
Conduct post-trip vehicle inspections.
Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
Clean SchoolBus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.
As requested or desired to take field trips, activity trips and charter runs to transport students and other passengers to and from their destinations.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years or older
Must have a minimum of 3 years verifiable driving history
Clean driving record within the last 24-36 months
Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL (For CDL positions)
Complete comprehensive PAID training program
Pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen
