Now hiring Class A Truck Drivers without experience. This is a Class A CDL driver entry level position. To be considered you must have graduated from a training Academy with at least 120 hours of instruction. You will need to supply your certificate of completion or transcripts to us for verification.
You worked hard to get your Class A CDL. With no OTR experience your finding out no one will hire you. Over the road is actually known as sleeping in the truck in 3 separate states besides your own. You can still build your OTR resume while driving regionally.
Presently we are hiring for 24 job openings for Class A drivers without experience. We are offer great pay, excellent benefits and many home time options. Once you start you will be expected to run regionally getting home every week or OTR getting home every 10-14 days.
Once you build your resume after several months you'll then be able to acquire many other positions including local and dedicated runs.
We have different division opportunities, such as dry van, reefer and flatbed. We also have tuition reimbursement available for those who paid upfront yourself to go to school. Up to $1,000.
Once you apply, we will get you on the road to a lucrative and successful driving career.
The hiring process.
Once our staff receives your application, we will reach out to you and conduct a short phone interview to pre-qualify you. When we determine that you qualify, we will then review all of the job details with you and move you forward with the application process.
We will help you fill out the first part of our application. Afterwards we will email you a link to complete the second part on your own.
Your application will be reviewed by a HR processor. You will then be contacted regarding your approval.
After you are approved, you will be scheduled for driver orientation. We will schedule you for orientation in the bay area. Orientation last normally 1-2 days. If you live outside a 50 mile radius we will reserve a hotel room for you. Breakfast is provided at the hotel and lunch will be catered in.
Once you completed orientation, you will officially be hired and go out with a driver trainer for 4 weeks. You earn $650 per week during this time.
Once training is complete, you will then take 2-5 days at home to wind down after your training. Then you meet with a driver manager to choose a run. You will then become a solo driver and move into a FT position. Your pay will increase to anywhere from $1,200 - $1,400+ per week (depending on the run you choose). Home times will vary depending on the run. (OTR, regional or dedicated)
After 30 days you will also be eligible for our full benefits package: Dental, vision, medical and 401k retirement, $10k in company paid life insurance, disability insurance and paid vacation.
You will be running in newer well-maintained Freightliners (mostly autos)
We also offer free college tuition for you or anyone in your immediate family. We partnered with SNHU to offer this benefit to you and your family to help build your education if you so desire. No other carrier is doing that at this time.

This is an intermittent hourly, non-benefitted, non-exempt.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities Operations, the incumbent will operate buses, vans and other vehicles as required to transport students, faculty and staff for University-related purposes; to provide shuttle service for participants at University-sponsored events; and to meet other transportation needs as required for the University. Incumbents in this position are also sometimes provided Lead work direction by the Lead Automotive/Equipment Mechanic.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operates vehicles including buses, vans, trams and other automotive vehicles defined as "buses" according to the California State Vehicle Code, including vehicles designed for carrying 15 or more persons including the driver. This includes provision of services which may require "stand by" time.
Engages in safety practices related to the operation of assigned vehicles:
* Services and makes minor repairs and adjustments prior to the operation of any vehicle assigned.
* Ensures safety checks are completed as required prior to the operation of any vehicle assigned.
* Ensures all necessary equipment is present and vehicle code requirements are met prior to the operation of any vehicle assigned.
* Properly completes all required vehicle inspection reports, travel logs, and any other University-required paperwork and software entries in associated with operation of any vehicle assigned.
Participate in University-required Trainings/Meetings and Timekeeping tasks
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Associated with this Position Include:
* Must be drug free and able to pass a pre-employment and all subsequent random drug and alcohol tests
Minimum Qualifications:
* Equivalent to one year of paid or regularly assigned driving experience in a job involving operation of a bus, shuttle, 15-passenger van, delivery vehicle, or automotive maintenance equipment. Must have a class A or B driver's license with a passenger transport endorsement and be Air Brake qualified. Must have a current Medical Examiners Certificate. Must have a good driving record and furnish a current (within 30 days of present date) D.M.V. report.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Equivalent to three years of paid or regularly assigned driving experience in a job involving operation of a bus, shuttle or 15-passenger van.
* Possession of an appropriate driving record which certifies the incumbent has not been issued more than one moving violation or been responsible for more than one accident (or any combination of more than one thereof) during the past 12 months.

POSITION: SchoolBusDriver Purpose The job of SchoolBusDriver is done for the purpose/s of providing support within the student transportation services area with specific responsibilities for transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle operation is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. This job reports to the Assigned Administrator/Supervisor.
Essential Functions
* Administers immediate first aid in emergency situations for the purpose of providing health care services to students in accordance with established procedures as instructed by a health care professional and as assigned by the position.
* Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing established guidelines and maintaining passenger safety.
* Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.) for the purpose of resolving and/or recommending a resolution to the situation.
* Assists students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe loading and unloading from buses during normal transport and emergency situations.
* Attends department meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of gathering information required to perform job functions and maintaining certification and licenses.
* Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior for the purpose of ensuring safety, appearance, and sanitation of vehicle.
* Conducts emergency evacuation drills for the purpose of ensuring efficiency of procedures and complying with mandated requirements.
* Drives schoolbus/s for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes to and from school and/or field trips or other events in a safe and timely manner.
* Fuels assigned vehicle (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining vehicle in a safe operating condition.
* Implements behavioral and student success plans for the purpose of supporting the classroom team and/or providing behavioral interventions to meet individual student needs.
* Monitors students with special medical needs and other passengers during loading, transit and unloading for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers and assisting medically fragile students.
* Performs specialized health care procedures for the purpose of providing appropriate care for ill and/or medically fragile children.
* Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, brakes, steering, lighting devices, horn, wheels, emergency equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safe operating condition of the vehicle and complying with mandated guidelines.
* Prepares reports (e.g. field trips reports, incident reports, inspections records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, conveying information, and/or complying with established guidelines.
* Reports observations and/or incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, equipment problems, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel for their action and resolving issues or concerns.
* Responds to inquiries from students, parents, and/or staff for the purpose of providing the necessary information regarding transportation services.
* Secures students as assigned (e.g. car seats, wheelchairs, restraints, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring their safety during transport.
Other Functions
* Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; administering first aid; applying pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; operating district vehicles, fire extinguisher, two-way radio; and preparing and maintaining accurate records. KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: emergency evacuation techniques; area streets and locations; basic vehicle maintenance; first aid; health standards and hazards; pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; safe driving practices; appropriate behavior management techniques for at risk and special needs students; safety practices and procedures; two way radio communication; and utilizing wheelchairs, tie downs, child safety seats, lifts, etc. (by assignment). Lead Reentry Coach/Driver
The Center of Reentry Excellence (CORE) operates multiple facilities that operate as central service hubs for the coordination of reentry services for justice-impacted individuals and their families. The Lead Reentry Coach/Driver performs a wide range of critical functions in support of services available through CORE. As a transportation coordinator, the role has direct responsibility for coordinating operations related to a discrete program or set of services available through CORE, and as a Lead Reentry Coach may be tasked with providing some direct services and with the supervision of a limited number of Reentry Coaches or Peer Navigators as deemed necessary to achieve CORE's objectives. In Coordinating transportation services for CORE, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the reentry population with transportation to and from certain reentry related activities, including
driving
the CORE operated shuttle, an 8 passenger van, and with assisting individuals in obtaining or maintaining their own personal transportation options. The transportation coordinator, with the assistance of their manager, will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the service quality level of CORE's transportation services. In the absence of their manager, this role may be assigned some level of responsibility for supporting the day-to-day activities at their assigned worksite. The Transportation Coordinator may be called upon to serve as a “problem solver” for clients or partners to improve access to and the effectiveness of reentry services available through CORE.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position that either reports to a CORE Program Manager or Site Manager; evening and weekend work may be required. All Alameda County residents and formerly incarcerated individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
**A bachelor's degree in Social Services, Psychology, or a related field is required. The requirement for a bachelor's degree may be waived for individuals who possess related California Association for Drug/Alcohol Educators (CAADE) certification, Community Health Outreach Worker certificates, or other relevant human or social services certificates and can demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years working with an adult reentry population; and at least (5) years of qualified work experience will be required of individuals without one of the degrees or certifications described.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership: Support manager with day-to-day operations at their assigned service site, including occasions that include the performance of some administrative activities such as the opening or closing of a CORE service site; staff assistance with providing direct services, especially transportation services, by ensuring their adherence to established service delivery policies and procedures as well as any necessary data collection processes. If assigned with the direct supervision of staff, promote team member skill building and professional development aligned with Rubicon's Core Competencies of coaching, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and cultural responsiveness.
Service Provision: Serve as a welcoming, positive, and empathetic point of contact with individuals seeking reentry services from CORE; may be called upon to lead culturally appropriate and receptive workshops, trainings and/or support groups for justice impacted individuals. Take a primary role in the provision of shuttle-based transportation services and in ensuring the availability of other appropriate transportation services. Effectively communicate with staff, including the Office Manager, to ensure team members have access to the tools and information required to provide effective transportation support.
Service Coordination: Support CORE staff with the provision of transportation services, and with understanding of rules, eligibility requirements and limitations of available transportation services. Engage other Rubicon staff in the use of available transportation resources, including coordinating with coaches, ambassadors, and navigators to meet identified transportation needs of CORE Members. Serve as a responsive point-of-contact for external partners looking to leverage or refer individuals to CORE for transportation support. Monitor and ensure the service quality of transportation services through the active monitoring of service provision and appropriate record keeping
Data Management and Record Keeping:. Work with service delivery and Organizational Impact staff to ensure service data is properly collected and entered Rubicon's customized data platform and any other required data systems. Ensure the collection and monitoring of service data related to established goals and objectives of CORE's transportation program. Work with Rubicon's COO to ensure appropriate record keeping is maintained on the fuel levels, maintenance and upkeep of all Rubicon vehicles used in relation to CORE's transportation services.
Outreach and Marketing: Promote the availability of CORE's transportation services withing Rubicon to team co-located with CORE, and externally to partners capable of referring individuals to CORE for transportation support. Develop promotional materials promoting CORE's transportation services and promote their distribution to places likely to reach individuals eligible for the services available - including digital distribution options. Participate in and support CORE's general outreach and engagement activities and campaigns.
COMPETENCIES
Components of this program are provided within the County's jails; therefore, ability to obtain clearance to enter local correctional facilities is required
Regular travel through Alameda and Contra Costa County is required; proof of a valid and current driver license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.
Extensive experience and expertise working with the reentry population or other people facing complex challenges; A strong set of interpersonal skills in problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution; Demonstrated initiative in team environments with a high tolerance for ambiguity and composure in difficult situations.
Solid administrative skills including attention to detail, accurate record keeping and an ability to follow multi-faceted processes and procedures; proficient data collection and the effective use of electronic data systems.
A skillset that includes the ability to effectively use web-based data systems and commonly used software that includes office applications made by Microsoft, Adobe, and Zoom.
This position requires occasional travel to appointments and other Rubicon meetings; if the employee opts to meet these travel requirements by driving, proof of a valid and current driver's license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.

This is not a local position. After your 30 day training you'll come home and choose one of many open positions. Most are OTR runs. However after 30 days we do offer other positions once you get your foot in the door. We offer OTR Regional and Local positions.
At this time we are needing to hire 23 positions for entry level drivers with little or no OTR experience, like yourself. These positions offer great pay, excellent benefits and many home time options. Once you completed training you will be expected to run OTR getting home every 10-14 days. Many openings are regional as well getting home more often.
There are no contracts to sign. You're free to change positions when openings come available.
Presently we offer many different division opportunities, such as dry van, reefer, and flatbed. If you'd like to run flatbed we offer a free 5 day training course to build your resume.
We currently offer CDL Academy tuition reimbursement available for those who paid out of pocket to go to school. Up to $1,000 to help payback your tuition.

After our HR staff receives your application, we will reach out to you and conduct a short phone interview to pre-qualify you. Once we determine that you qualify, we will then review all of the job details with you and move you forward with the application process.
In your interview we will help you fill out part 1 of our application. Then we will email you a link to complete the second part on your own.
Once your application will be reviewed by an administrator processor. We will then be reaching out to you regarding your approval.
At this point you are approved for onboarding, you will then be scheduled for driver orientation. Transportation to orientation will be by bus on us or you can drive yourself and we will reimburse you for your gas. Your breakfast is provided at the hotel and lunch will be catered in.
Once orientation is complete, you will officially be hired and go out with a driver trainer for 4 weeks. You will stay out the whole month training all over the country. The goal is to build your confidence behind the wheel and turn you into a excellent safe Class A Driver. You will be paid $650 a week during this time.
After you have completed your OTR training, you will then meet with a terminal manager to choose a run. You will then become a regular driver and move into a FT position. Your pay will increase to anywhere from $1,300 - $1,600+ per week (depending on the position you choose). Home times will vary depending on the run. (OTR or regional)
You will be eligible for our full benefits package at 30 days: Medical, dental, vision, 401k retirement, $10k in company paid life insurance, disability insurance and paid vacation. You will enjoy our trucks, they mostly newer Freightliners (mostly autos). Also in the benefit package, we have partnered with SNHU and are happy to offer our drivers and one of their immediate family FREE tuition for online college classes.

You must be at least 21 years of age

You must have attended an accredited Academy for at least 120 hours and provide completion certificate and/or transcripts
