Job Description Looking for a part time or full time employee to drive a 22 passenger bus for an assisted living home. This job entails dropping off and picking up residents from doctors appointments, grocery store trips, group outings to the mall, restaurants, or other places of recreation. Qualifications CDL license with passenger endorsement. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Additional Information Has a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that requires basic analytic ability. Has an overall understanding of the work environment and process. Has working knowledge of the organization. Ability to operate buses with proper certifications for capacity exceeding 19 passengers. Knowledge of large bus operations and mechanics and ability to respond appropriately and in a calm and reassuring manner in case of operational emergency. Knowledge of oxygen tank, wheel chair and walker operation and safety measures. Must be willing to communicate with residents of various levels of functioning and various types of personalities. Ability to speak and write English fluently in order converse with residents as needed. Willingness and ability to assist in and stay calm when executing the evacuation of residents during emergency situations. Willingness to communicate perceived physical and emotional needs of residents to other skilled staff to assist with addressing their care needs. Title: Bus Driver, Part-time (25 hrs/wk) Reports to: Principal Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt St. Charles Borromeo School is seeking a part-time bus driver & monitor to transport students. Job Responsibilities Safely transport and monitor students from Arcadia to the school in Port Charlotte and reverses route in afternoon. Arrive at destination on schedule. Keep mileage records and repair record up to date.

PAY: $19.00 / hour with an additional 10% shift differential ($1.90 / hour) on Saturday and Sunday. SCHEDULE: As needed. Provides coverage on holidays, employee sick or vacation days, and other times when volume or circumstances dictate. JOB FUNCTION: Provides transportation services for clients. Confirms logistical details of discharge plans prior to client departure, including drop-off location and contact as well as collection of belongings and prescriptions. Performs courier services. Assists with delivery and service of meals. Responsible for maintaining fleet vehicles and filling out required paperwork (mileage form, safety form, accident report, etc.). Performs all duties in a safe and clinically appropriate manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. At least two (2) years of professional driving experience. Must have an insurable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) which includes being at least twenty-one (21) years old and having no major moving violations in the last three (3) years. Must not have any at-fault accidents within the last three (3) years. CPR certification required upon hire. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Ability to perform NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) skills. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to consumers and treatment program conditions, may sometimes work long and unusual hours including rotating weekends and some holidays.
