Essential Functions
Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing posted rules and maintaining passenger safety.
Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.) for the purpose of resolving and/or recommending a resolution to the situation.
Assists students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe loading and unloading from buses during normal transport and emergency situations.
Attends unit meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of gathering information required to perform job functions.
Cleans assigned vehicles for the purpose of ensuring safety, appearance and sanitation of vehicle.
Conducts emergency evacuation drills for the purpose of ensuring efficiency of procedures and complying with mandated requirements.
Drives schoolbus/s for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes and authorized stops to and from school and/or field trips in a safe and timely manner.
Fuels assigned vehicle (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining vehicle in a safe operating condition.
Informs other school personnel and parents. of events, policies and/or practices (e.g. scheduled stops, established routes, route conditions, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or clarification of procedures.
Monitors students and other passengers during transit for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers.
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safe operating condition of the vehicle and complying with mandated guidelines.
Prepares computer generated and/or manual reports (e.g. field trips reports, incident reports, pre and post - trip inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, conveying information, and/or complying with established guidelines.
Reports observations and/or incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel for their action.

About the Position - Peer Coach Driver
The Peer Coach Driver will function as a role model to peers, exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills. They will serve as an advocate, providing supportive information and peer support for members in outpatient and inpatient settings. Job Description:
Safely transports students to and from school, conducts pre-trip inspections of buses, ensures buses are safe and presentable, maintains discipline, and prepares incident documents when appropriate.
Serves catered lunches/Cafeteria clean up during mid day
Position is 8 hours per day, hours are as follows:
6:00 - 8:30 am pre-trip/pick up students & drop off back at school.
10:00 am - 1:00 pm set up for school lunches, serve lunches, clean up
2:00 pm - 4:30 pm pre trip bus, load students at 2:55 pm, leave school 3:00 pm to drop off students, then return to school.

IVP Fingerprint card
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) prior to being hired;
Valid First Aid certification/CPR
Valid Arizona Department of Transportation Commercial Driver's License
Active ArizonaSchoolBusDriver Certificate
One year with operating a schoolbus
Valid passenger passenger (P) endorsement
Valid Arizona Department of Transportation Physical
Valid Arizona Food Handler's card within 30 days of hire

Job Description
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Program Director
The BusDriver is responsible for transporting youth to/from school and other off site events, as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate
Must obtain/maintain a current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's Certification (within first 90 days of employment)
Must have and maintain a valid Arizonadriver's license
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS
Working knowledge of federal and state laws and company policies and procedures
Ability to participate in investigations
Ability to support the physical property and assets of the Club
Ability to manage small and large groups of youth in various settings
Ability to implement effective individual behavior management
Ability to maintain and cultivate excellent member/family and community relationships and possess excellent customer service skills
Ability to interact effectively and communicate (in writing and orally) with a variety of youth, staff, volunteers, families, and community members.
Ability to establish learning objectives for program and activities
Knowledge of Youth Development service delivery
Ability to articulate for giving, serve as an ambassador, engage in relationship building and promote philanthropy
Ability to support the efficiency of Volunteers and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operations
WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING
Travel between Boys & Girls Club site and schools and various field trip sites as well as in the community is required. Must meet the insurance standards of Boys & Girls Club of the Valley.
Work is primarily performed in the Club and local community
