Keep to an assigned schedule. Perform a Pre and Post Trip DOT inspection for mechanical defects with assigned vehicle. Discharges students only at authorized stops. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips. Transports only authorized students and School Department staff. Reports all accidents and completes required reports. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience: Previous van driving experience is preferred. Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent time management skills. Education: Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. Certification & Licensing: Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract specific Van Driver requirements. Must have RI Driver's License or have the ability to get one
