Lead Reentry Coach/Driver The Center of Reentry Excellence (CORE) operates multiple facilities that operate as central service hubs for the coordination of reentry services for justice-impacted individuals and their families. The Lead Reentry Coach/Driver performs a wide range of critical functions in support of services available through CORE. As a transportation coordinator, the role has direct responsibility for coordinating operations related to a discrete program or set of services available through CORE, and as a Lead Reentry Coach may be tasked with providing some direct services and with the supervision of a limited number of Reentry Coaches or Peer Navigators as deemed necessary to achieve CORE's objectives. Typical Duties: 1. Drives a bus daily over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, picking up and discharging school children. 2. Escorts children across streets stopping traffic when necessary. 3. Transports students and teachers on field trips to various locations, choosing the best route and making departure and arrival times as scheduled. 4. Cleans interior and windows and assists in maintaining bus in safe operating condition. 5. Maintains good order among students on the buses, following district policies regarding the discipline of children and contact with parents and other citizens. 6. Keeps records of mileage and prepares reports of driving hazards and incidents. 7. Inspects bus on a daily basis and before an extra curricular trip. The successful candidate will have experience driving a bus as well as working with children, and we're anxious to talk with anyone who has transported grade school-aged kids to school in the past.
