The Adjunct Bus Driver Trainer provides behind-the-wheel Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) to prospective school bus drivers across Region 3. This role focuses on hands-on instruction, ensuring trainees develop the skills, safety practices, and confidence needed to operate a school bus in compliance with state and federal standards. The trainer works collaboratively with districts, maintains accurate training documentation, and upholds the highest standards of safety and professionalism while preparing new drivers for successful service in student transportation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for a minimum of two (2) years. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with school bus drivers, including experience providing hands-on or behind-the-wheel training. Demonstrated safe driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Strong understanding of FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements, specifically the behind-the-wheel (range and public road) components. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide behind-the-wheel ELDT instruction in alignment with all FMCSA requirements and Region 3 ESC expectations.
