Job Type: Non-Exempt, Hourly, Split Shift, Seasonal, 6.5 hours a day / 32.5 hours a week (August through June) 6:00-9:00AM & 3:00-6:30PM
Salary Information: The starting salary is $27.50 per hour, per hour worked. Negotiable based on skills and experience. $1,000 sign-on bonus, half paid at 3 months of service and half paid at 6 months of service.

POSITION SUMMARY
The School Bus Driver's main responsibilities are to safely transport students and staff, and to fulfill the required duties of daily bus operations. The position reports to the Director of Transportation.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Transport students and authorized personnel to and from school, field trips, and other approved activities.
Ensure the safety and welfare of all transported passengers.
Obey traffic laws and submit required reports.
Follow school transportation policies and procedures.
Manage passenger behavior effectively and communicate discipline issues to the supervisor.
Perform daily pre- and post- ride inspections.
Attend assigned workshops and training programs.
Undertake any other reasonable task as required.
Maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.
Positively support the school's mission, policies, and practices, and work collaboratively in a professional organization.
Performs additional related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required:
High school graduate or equivalent.
English language proficiency.
Experience Required:
2-3 years experience as a driver of a truck or commercial passenger vehicle; and/or
2-3 years experience as a driver of a passenger vehicle with a verifiable good driving record; and/or
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
Air brake trained and experienced
Certifications/Licenses required:
Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger Transport (P) and School Bus Authorized (S) endorsement; and
Certification in CPR/First Aid procedures; or the willingness to obtain certification within the first six months of employment.
Additional Requirements:
Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a pleasant demeanor with co-workers, supervisors, and others.
Basic computer and writing skills with attention to detail.
Bilingual proficiency in French and English is desired.
