Essential Functions
• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing regulations and maintaining passenger safety.

• Assists other personnel, as may be required, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
• Informs other school personnel, parents, etc. of events and/or practices (e.g. scheduled stops, established routes, route conditions, etc.) for the purpose of advising them of issues that may require action.
• Prepares documents and reports (e.g. field trips reports, incident reports, inspections records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; operating all SchoolBus in fleet, Snow Chains, Controls of SchoolBus, Door Controls, Gauges, Fuel Pump, Two-Way Radio, etc.; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Essential Functions
* Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing regulations and maintaining passenger safety.
* Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations for the purpose of resolving and/or recommending a resolution to the situation.
* Assists other personnel, as may be required, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
* Informs other school personnel, parents, etc. of events and/or practices (e.g. scheduled stops, established routes, route conditions, etc.) for the purpose of advising them of issues that may require action.
* Prepares documents and reports (e.g. field trips reports, incident reports, inspections records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
* Reports observations and/or incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel.
* Responds to inquiries (e.g. students, parents, other school personnel, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or direction.
* Supervises students and other passengers during transit for the purpose of maintaining safety and following district policy.
Other Functions:
* Attends safety meetings, training's, etc. relating to State and district requirements for the purpose of presentin and/or acquiring information.
* Conducts busdriver training for district drivers, substitutes, and other assigned employees for the purpose of presenting, reinforcing and/or developing busdriver skills.
* Creates program materials (e.g. procedures, handouts, traiining materials, resource information, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring adequate training resources for facilities personne.
* Performs the functions of a SchoolBusDriver for the purpose of meeting the District's transportation needs.
* Presents procedural and behavioral training guidelines to staff within the district for the purpose of promoting safety and outlining district policies.
* Assists other personnel, as may by required, for the purpose of ensuring and efficient and effective work environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; operating all SchoolBus in fleet, Snow Chains, Controls of SchoolBus, Door Controls, Gauges, Fuel Pump, Two-Way Radio, etc.; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: Wyoming rules and laws of the road; handle student discipline by approved department procedures; troubleshooting mechanical problems with bus, etc. concepts of grammar and punctuation; and safety practices and procedures.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities; collate data; and consider a number of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. In working with others, independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires following prescribed guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is moderate. Working Environment

Shifts are typially 1.5-2 hours in length which includes the walk as well as prep and wrap-up time. Shifts are ever weekday before and after school.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Ensures the safety of each passenger while on the walking bus in accordance with board policies and rules.
* Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.) for the purpose of resolving and/or recommending a resolution to the situation.
* Establishing and maintaining rapport with passengers.
* Maintain discipline among passengers.
* Maintain effective contact with the public.
* Satisfactorily complete required training and first aid programs.
* Submit to random drug and alcohol testing, state law.
* Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Employ effective decision making skills.
* Engage in two-way communication with students, district staff, parents, and the community.
* Knowledge of public laws, rules, regulations, and current business issues governing student transportation services.
* Ability to weigh options, think clearly, evaluate accurately, and make sound judgements.
