The CDC Foundation is seeking a School/Childcare Immunization Coordinator who will serve as the primary coordinator and liaison with both the Nevada Department of Education and the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance that licenses childcare facilitates regarding required immunizations for both school and childcare entry.

Job HighlightsPosition Title: School/Childcare Immunization CoordinatorLocation: This is a hybrid position- part time in office, part time telecommuting.Position End Date: 12/31/2022Salary: $55,000 plus benefits

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, human services, social science, behavioral science or related field and three years of health-related professional experience, one year of which was supervisory and included providing or coordinating the delivery of health care services, budget monitoring, and interpretation of regulations, policies and directives related to health care delivery systems;OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Responsibilities:Serve as liaison between the Nevada Department of Education and the Nevada State Immunization Program;Serve as liaison between Child Care Licensing and the Nevada State Immunization Program;Serve as the subject matter expert on school and childcare immunization requirements;Communicate regularly with the Chief School Nurses on school-required vaccination activities; and,Develop messaging and tools for schools, childcare facility directors, and regulators to use to ensure proper immunization requirement compliance.Collect school reported immunization rates and exemptions for students and submit data to CDC annually

This position is located in Carson City, Nevada and will be working part time in the office part time telecommuting for the foreseeable future. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.

Bay Area Community Resources school coordinator job description

The Community Schools Coordinator (CSC) will work collaboratively to assess the school community's needs and assets; develop, coordinate and sustain student and family support and opportunities. The CSC will create a high-quality Community School that promotes racial and social justice, youth and family voice, and enhances the ability of young people and families to thrive. The CSC will report directly to the BACR East Bay Director, and work in partnership with the school's principal and the WCCUSD Office of Community Engagement.
Benefits:

Salary range: $65,000 - $68,000 (DOE)

Approximately 7 weeks off per year (including holidays)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in management/administration and/or community development in a non-profit and/or human services setting

Experience with program planning and implementation, including small and large collaborative meeting facilitation, problem -solving and team building

Proven experience working with public school systems, including the development of community schools and the creation and facilitation of community partnerships

Demonstrated success in program planning/management activities furthering school success, student achievement, and positive child, youth, and family development

Preferred:

Bilingual - English/Spanish - a plus.

Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or related field, and three years of experience (experience may substitute education)

Experience working with low-income communities

Specific Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and vision to the program in collaboration with administration and other school staff, youth and families, community members, and the school district's community school initiative.

Conduct ongoing needs/hopes assessment in order to identify gaps in programs and services, as well as capacity and assets.

Establish, nurture and manage quality internal and external partnerships, creating an integrated service delivery system that supports student success and wellness. Utilize data from needs assessment and cultivate new partnerships that address service gaps.

Develop and co-facilitate Coordination of Services/CARE Team meetings with providers and school administration to make sure services are being provided in a successful and efficient manner.

Monitor achievement of project outcome goals and objectives. Responsible for all administrative tasks, including designing systems, record keeping and report writing and submission to both internal and external stakeholders.

Support the writing of grants and develop other resources to increase and sustain program services. Build alliances and identify resources among local community groups and agencies

Complete other duties as assigned and attend other site level, community, and District meetings as needed in support of the Community Schools Initiative.

* Staff the customer service call queue
* Document significant communication with partners, center staff, parents, and participants
* Communicate and coordinate with all members of team to support program sales and to achieve team goals
* Accurately audit pre-departure tasks in CRM and complete follow up communication as needed
* Other duties as assigned
