As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern, you will participate in a structured training program that focuses on developing and maintaining referral sources to ensure potential customers are identified. You will also have the opportunity to provide counseling and guidance services as well as assist in job placement for each customer.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Current enrollment in the final year of a master's degree program in vocational rehabilitation counseling, rehabilitation education, or rehabilitation administration.
Special Requirements:
Authorization by the college or university for the student to participate in the Commonwealth's Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern Program. Upon entering the internship, the student must be enrolled in the final semester of the appropriate master's degree program.
Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Guide and assist students and parents through the entire college and financial aid
application process
• Design and teach College Counseling Advisory classes that support the college
counseling process
• Support the planning and implementation of workshops for parents and students on key
topics related to the college admissions and financial aid processes (on occasion, for
faculty/staff)
• Ensure students take advantage of special opportunities made available to low-income
and/or first-generation college students in the college search process
• Establish and maintain relationships with college representatives on behalf of the school
and the students
• Coordinate college representative visits to CRCHS and college fairs
• Coordinate logistics for on-campus college experiences
• Data management, transcript retrieval, and application materials submission via the
SCOIR system
• Actively research all aspects of college counseling: financial aid, scholarships,
applications, and standards
• Support the work of the College Department and team with office initiatives and projects
• Attend required staff development and training sessions throughout the year
QUALIFICATIONS
● A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
● Spanish fluency preferred but not required
● Experience guiding high school students and families through the college admissions
process is strongly preferred but not required
● Understanding of the barriers to access to college for low income and/or first-generation
students
● Strong written and communication skills; detail-oriented; team player; ability to multitask

Our Camp Counselor positions have the potential to serve as competitively paid internships that meet your course credit needs.
First and foremost, your primary responsibilities will be as a Camp Counselor. As an Intern, you will be expected to fulfill your regular daily job responsibilities and it will be up to you to complete your internship responsibilities and to ensure that they do not interfere with your work obligations. Contact your college advisor in advance and ask them if you can use your summer camp job as a practicum, internship or for other course credits. If KE Camps can meet your internship requirements, your on-site Camp Director will be your field supervisor and oversee your course work. You will also be connected to a KE Camps contact at our HQ in Skillman, NJ. To receive credit, you must complete the course, practicum or internship per your college's parameters and complete your summer employment.
As a Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
Camp Counselor Qualities
Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
Prior experience working with children
Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
Camp Counselor Responsibilities
Work with group of campers and provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience
Cooperate with fellow Counselors and Camp Director
Greet families and campers upon arrival
Support Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with campers
Participate in all camp activities
Supervise daily swim time in a hands-on manner from within the water (lifeguard certification not required)
Help out where needed and lead activities when asked to by the Camp Director
Complete other duties, as assigned

Our camp is located at Columbus Country Club in Columbus, OH. Camp will run Monday-Friday from June 1 through July 10 - staff members must be available to work the full camp season.

Job Purpose The School Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. Consults with teachers and intervention specialists in the area of classroom behavior management, academic and behavioral interventions, proper implementation of IEP goals and BIP goals.
Consults and collaborates with principals with respect to the special education program, RTI processes, best practices in running IAT meetings, pre-referral interventions, and proper implementation of BIPs.
Promotes school policies and practices aligned with the Character Education and anti-bullying programs and ensures the safety of all students by reducing school violence, bullying, and harassment.
Conducts group sessions with students related to anti-bullying strategies, anger management strategies, problem solving, self-regulation and self-determination.
Provides counseling, instruction, and mentoring for those struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
Helps the schools increase achievement by assessing barriers to learning and determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning, consulting with appropriate staff to mentor them and facilitate success.
Enhances school-wide understanding and acceptance of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Identifies and addresses learning and behavior problems that interfere with school success.
Supports students' social, emotional, and behavioral health.
Designs and supports implementation of academic and behavioral interventions.
Implements school-wide prevention programs that help maintain positive school climates conducive to learning.
Compliance
Participates in IAT meetings, ETR meetings, serves as a diagnostic member of the IEP team, and supports the development of IEPs and ETRs.
Conducts functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and oversees or writes draft BIPs as needed.
Provides oversight to special education processes, including compliance.
Evaluates eligibility for special education services (within a multidisciplinary team).
Designs and implements student progress monitoring systems.
Collects and analyzes data related to school improvement, student outcomes, and accountability requirements.
Family/Community Involvement
Enhances home-school collaboration and provides support to parents as needed or requested.
Makes referrals and helps coordinate community support services as appropriate.
Responds to crises by providing leadership, direct services, and coordination with needed community services.
Designs, implements, and garners support for comprehensive school mental health programming.
Coordinates the delivery of services to students and their families in and outside of school.
Helps students transition to and from school and community learning environments, such as residential treatment or juvenile justice programs.
Professionalism
Meets with the management team, Sponsors, ODE, or other officials and agencies as requested by the CEO, Director of Student Services, and Chief of Staff.
Conducts training with staff as requested by the CEO, Chief of Staff, and Director of Student Services related to the student services program, interventions, special education service delivery, and compliance.
Follow all prescribed Board policies faithfully.
Read and understand all policies outlined in staff handbook and student handbook/code of conduct.
Refrain from discussing student or parent issues with staff members outside of IAT meetings, except as needed to ensure educational efficacy of student; never discuss student or parent issues with other parents or the public; this also includes other professionals, including doctors, psychologists, attorneys, dentists, social workers, or anyone without explicit written, parent consent.
Keep all student identifying information confidential at all times and all parent and student correspondences and communications confidential at all times.
Report any and all cases of suspected child abuse or neglect immediately to Principal, Assistant Principal, and/or Superintendent, before contacting Children's Services or local law enforcement.
Other duties as assigned by Superintendent(s), President, Director of Student Services, or management staff.
Qualifications
Master's Degree required.
Valid and current Ohio License.
Satisfactory completion of federal and state required criminal history checks.
Stays current on and understands all federal and state special education policies and laws.
Experience with data analysis
Proficient in computer applications, including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, e-mail, and internet
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic; a strong sense of integrity.

Working Conditions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and interpret a wide range of standardized assessment instruments to evaluate cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning. Guide and support staff in administering achievement tests as needed.
