Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a SchoolPsychologist to play a vital role in working with the stakeholders (e.g., students, parents, teachers, administrators) to support the learning and development of students across the age range (K-12 and transition) to help them succeed academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially.

Salary range for

Key Responsibilities:
Consultation and Intervention:
Partners with school employees to develop and implement evidence based social, emotional, and behavioral programming. Delivers implementation of this programming at the systems, classroom, and individual levels. Communicates progress to parents and provides support as necessary.
Psychological Assessment:
Completes social/behavioral, academic, cognitive, adaptive, and transition assessments. Interprets findings and presents results to stakeholders (e.g., parents, district administrators, school employees)
Relationships & Communication:
Ensures a trauma aware environment for all students. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
Participate in and complete training sessions as delegated by management to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Conduct training as required and assigned.
Perform any additional job responsibilities assigned by supervisors or team leaders to support the organization's smooth operation.
Accept reassignment as required.
Qualifications:
Specialist (e.g., 6th Year, Ed.S., CAS, CAGS) or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited university preferred
Current Certification in School Psychology (070) required
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, school districts, and all levels of staff across the organization.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Must have satisfactory background checks
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Working Conditions:
As a SchoolPsychologist dedicated to supporting children in the school setting, you'll find yourself immersed in a dynamic and impactful environment. Here's what you can expect regarding working conditions:
Primary work is done within the classroom however it is expected that staff will monitor/work with students during indoor/outdoor physical activities (playground/gym); support students during academic, related service (Speech, OT, PT), and behavioral programming; and assist in toileting if applicable.
This role may encounter challenging behaviors and situations, requiring patience, empathy, and effective behavior management strategies and the ability to perform Physical Management Techniques (PMT) as needed.
Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
May be required to travel.

This employee is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive psychological services. CORE COMPATENCIES * Planning and Development * Participation in the development of the comprehensive plan at the school and district level.
* Participation in the development of short- and long-term goals for the school psychological services program.
* Chairing Sub-Committee CSE Meetings
* Chairing Instructional Support Team Meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree or above
* State Certification is School Psychology
* Bi-lingual Extension of Certificate
GENERAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations that include but ae not limited to the assessment of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional and behavioral status.
* Assessment and data collection by use of formal, informal or non-standardized evaluation techniques including functional behavioral assessments and behavior interventions plans.
* Interpreting and utilizing assessment data for the purpose of writing psychological reports and developing written intervention plans.
* Counseling students individually and in groups. Providing crisis intervention.
* Utilizing the Instructional Support Team as a resource for students.
* Service to Parents:
* Providing training on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to child development and effective parenting.
* Assisting parents in locating available educational information and interventions.
* Service to Teachers:
* Consulting with teachers and administrators regarding specific students.
* Assisting in the development of teacher implemented interventions.
* Assisting with school wide programs.
* Providing in-service training.
* Service to Community:
* Participating in the development of educational and community partnerships.
* Working with communities to improve the lives of students.
* Professional Development:
* Attending in-service meetings and conferences to develop professional attitudes and skills.
* Maintaining professional skills through reading of current literature and professional memberships.
* Program Evaluation:
* Participating in program evaluation.
* Assisting in the design and implementation of program evaluation.
* Other Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervising school psychology interns and practicum students. Participation in Research.
Reports to: Building Principal; Responsible to the Special Education Supervisor, and the Director of Special Education (updated 4/2023)
