Employment Standards
Training and Experience:

advanced training and specialized in-depth knowledge in the areas of pupil personnel services concepts and procedures, dynamics of individual behavior, counseling theory and procedures, measurement theory and procedures, education and career planning, research methodology, remedial and special education, laws relating to children and youth, the organization and function of pupil personnel services in the schools; knowledge of community educational resources and related services available to students.
Abilities:
ability to work harmoniously and effectively with students, parents, regular and special education teachers, administrative personnel, classified staff, and outside agencies and professional staff; skill as a psycho-educational diagnostician; ability to communicate effectively in written reports as well as in oral presentations and conferences; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
License and Certificates:

Based in San Jose, CA and reporting to the Manager of Psych Services, the School Psychologist, will play a critical role in ensuring we are meeting our Child Find obligation. At Rocketship Public Schools, our psychs serve a small number of elementary schools. Our schools utilize a meaningful inclusion model for special education, so an integral part of the day-to-day work is supporting teams in creating plans that allow all students, regardless of disability, to spend the majority of their day in the general education classroom. Essential Functions:
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Lead psycho-educational and formal behavior assessments; write quality, compliant assessment reports.
Attend IEP meetings; present assessment findings to the team.
Assist in the implementation of assessment recommendations as needed.
Participate in the pre-referral process and provide consultation to school teams regarding intervention supports for struggling students.
Work with parents to build knowledge of disability and inclusive support for students with disabilities.

Lyra is committed to addressing urgent and costly mental health needs with specialized support where it's needed most. Our Center of Excellence for Neurodiversity offers neuropsychological assessments, diagnosis, with tailored care for ADHD, and support for autism and learning differences. We are looking for a contract Neuropsychologist who is passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care.

What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for clients of all ages, in collaboration with their families and/or other collateral sources
Interpret a wide variety of psychological and neuropsychological test batteries, with occasional direct test administration
Serve as a subject matter expert in the use and interpretation of neuropsychological assessments
Supervise and oversee the work of the patient's assigned psychometrist to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
Complete detailed neuropsychological evaluation reports and prepare separate brief summary documents tailored for clients, families, and referring providers
Conduct clear, supportive feedback sessions to explain findings, diagnoses, and personalized recommendations
Collaborate with the patient's care team (psychiatrist, care manager, and/or mental health wellness coach) to inform and coordinate treatment planning
Comfortable completing in-person and virtual sessions with patients and their families
Requirements:
Doctorate degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association accredited program
One year predoctoral internship with specialization in neuropsychology preferred
Two year postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology preferred
An equivalent combination of experience, supervision, or training will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Licensed in California or New York preferred
PSYPACT authorized or PSYPACT eligible preferred
Experience conducting testing virtually and in person
Familiarity with online web-based applications
Effective therapeutic communication skills
Able to deliver care virtually or in person and within your own office space
Candidates must successfully pass a drug screen and background check for this opportunity

* Ensures confidentiality of test results and recommendations; maintains security of testing materials.
* Explains testing procedures and objectives to patients, and works with patients to facilitate compliance with protocol and procedures to ensure appropriate test completion.
* For study participants, maintains study lists documenting procedures completed by each participant as well as other pertinent information as determined by the Neuropsychologist.
* Observes patients carefully before, during and after testing; records behavioral observations and reports to Psychologist or Neuropsychologist any information that may affect the validity and significance of test results.
* Organizes testing materials to optimize timeliness and clarity of the evaluation.
* Administers selected neuropsychological tests and test batteries to patients to measure clinical factors such as intellectual functioning, presence and extent of organic involvement, personality characteristics, and psychopathology. Administers and score tests using a standardized format, Uses a normative database when converting scores. Assists in administering and completing behavior designated rating scales.
Education Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology or School Psychology
Experience Qualifications
* Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Ability to administer a wide range of standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests
* Knowledge of psychological, neuropsychological and behavioral test scoring protocol, procedures, and standards
Licenses and Certifications
