Participates in meetings as assigned (e.g., IEP, workshops, seminars) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g., extension requests, correspondence, memos, behavior plans, reports, required documentation, psycho-educational evaluation, evaluation and re-evaluation reports, IEP etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
Prepares implements and performs social skills groups for the purpose of enhancing social integration of students.
Research resources and methods (e.g., intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing students' functional goals.
Coordinates with community agencies including medical, judicial, social service and mental health services for the purpose of determining appropriate treatments, etc. to meet the needs of specific students.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Supervises interns, practicum students and others for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of school's curriculum.

Our schoolpsychologists function within a multi-disciplinary team in their assigned school(s), providing consultation and psychological evaluations through diagnostic testing and/or diagnostic interviews as well as interpreting this information to parents and/or other professionals. As employees of CORA Services, the schoolpsychologists have access to supervisory support for clinically complex and/or legal cases, and have access to ongoing professional trainings and conferences sponsored by CORA.

In addition, as a SchoolPsychologist your duties will include:
Participates in all required meetings as a member of the building-level Child Study Team.
Provides diagnostic and consultative services to students, parents, school staff, and the other CORA related services personnel.
Administers psychological tests to determine needs of students.
Conducts professional evaluations with up to 12 students per month.
Conducts interpretive sessions concerning all clinical evaluations they administer to students.
Writes all reports pertaining to psychological services given to students.
Participates in all procedures to facilitate special education placement of students.
Adheres to agency guidelines and requirements concerning caseload management and accountability.
Contributes to regular psychology staff meetings where best practices and systematic approaches to problem-solving are discussed.
Qualified Candidates Should Possess:
Ed. or Ed.S. Degree in School Psychology
Valid New Jersey certification as a SchoolPsychologist
Knowledge of the New Jersey Special Education Code
