QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications for SchoolPsychologist:
· 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as SchoolPsychologist within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
· Valid SchoolPsychologist credential/license or in process in state of practice

Responsibilities
How you'll be there for students:
Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.
* Consultation and collaboration with school staff, families, and students.
* Participate in an assessment plan meeting of students assigned for an initial or re-evaluation.
* Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations that include, but are not limited to, assessments of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional and behavioral status.
* Interpret assessment results, create written evaluation report, and submit written report to all designated contacts within the required timeframe.
* Lead assessment feedback meetings to review assessment results/findings/recommendations with all applicable parties present.
* Maintain student caseload in compliance with state timelines and other state and company guidance.
* Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
* Comply with all Catapult Learning and school district policies and procedures.
* Other duties may be assigned.

Position Purpose

Essential Performance Responsibilities

Assists with the identification and placement of all types of exceptional learners.
Consults with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs, and to familiarize stakeholders with psychological services.
Provides direction in assessment batteries for both initial evaluation and/or reevaluation for learners.
Participates in Evaluation Services Team meetings.
Serves as a resource and consultant on mental health and child psychology, conducts trainings for families and school staff.

Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research, and by maintaining professional relationships.

I. BASIC FUNCTION
The Psychologist is a specialist in the application of psychological methods and
techniques to the educational process. Through evaluative and consultative services, the

II. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
The Psychologist assesses the abilities and limitations of students as individuals and as
members of peer groups so as to assist in the creation and implementation of an
educational program best suited to individualized needs. The major goal is to understand and interpret psychological and social dynamics in an educational framework.
The Psychologist shall:
A. Instructional Support Team
1. Be an active and contributing member of the Instructional Support Team. The major goal of the team is to provide suggestions to classroom teachers for those students who are experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties. Students may also be referred for additional services or assessments when needed.
B. Psychological Evaluations
1. Be responsible for performing psychological evaluations.
C. Evaluation, Identification, and Recommendation for Placement
1. Be responsible for psychological evaluation and provide information to be used in placement of pupils (from schools to which he/she is assigned) to special education programs maintained by the District, Intermediate Unit, and approved private schools.

III. PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS

C. Principals
