This person will report directly to a supervising Special Education Services Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completion of a minimum of 60 graduate credits in identified areas of study for school psychology; and

General Description
Under the guidance of the Director of Special Education, the SchoolPsychologist is responsible for assessing, identifying and supporting students with disabilities to ensure they succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.
Responsibilities Include
Individualized Education Programs (IEP) Support
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services and any necessary individualized instruction or required behavior interventions
With other school-based professionals and parents, participate in the creation and management of IEPs for students with disabilities
Provide counseling services to students who are eligible for services based on the IEP
Department and Program Support
Support a culture of student achievement by promoting healthy and supportive academic environments for students with disabilities

The position is housed in the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Center, which offers innovative treatment services for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders through several specialized treatment programs, including the Social Anxiety Program, Selective Mutism Service, and the Trauma and Resilience Service. The Center's clinicians are experts in the field in providing comprehensive clinical care using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including exposure and response prevention (ERP), Parent Child Interaction Therapy adapted for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM) and other evidence-based treatments.
The Anxiety and Mood Disorders Center also offers cutting edge, evidence-based, tailored treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults suffering from mood disorders and related concerns. These include depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, suicidality and self-harm, and emotional dysregulation, as well as comorbid problems such as anxiety, substance use, exposure to trauma, and executive functioning deficits. You Will:
Conduct semi-structured clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, young adults, and families presenting with mental health concerns.
Provide evidence-based treatment, including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and behavioral interventions for mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety-related disorders, selective mutism, and comorbid conditions, in individual and group formats.
Co-treat and collaborate with clinicians in multidisciplinary teams and specialized treatment programs.
Participate in educational didactics, multidisciplinary case conferences, clinical meetings, and the Visiting Professor lecture series.
Engage in comprehensive supervision, including at least one hour of individual supervision per week and additional group supervision.
You Have:
PhD or PsyD degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology, school psychology, or counseling psychology.
Full completion of doctoral degree by the beginning of the postdoctoral fellowship.
Successful completion of a pre-doctoral internship.
Flexibility to work hours including afternoon / evening hours to accommodate school schedules.

What You'll Do

Partner with the HSM Director to implement the vision, goals, and values of Friends Church within High School Ministry.
Assist in planning and leading weekly HSM services, including worship, teaching,games, and small group connection.
Occasionally teach in large group and lead elements of programming as requested.
Help create and implement a pathway of connection and discipleship for students,moving them from first-time guests to fully engaged participants in the HSM community.
VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT
Recruit, train, equip, and shepherd volunteer leaders (Life Group Leaders and Change Makers).
Provide ongoing encouragement, coaching, and accountability for volunteers.
Partner in organizing and leading regular volunteer training and leadership development opportunities.
STUDENT & FAMILY CARE
Build relationships with students inside and outside of programming through presence,encouragement, and discipleship.
Provide pastoral support to students and families as needed, especially in times of crisis,referring to professional counselors when appropriate.
Partner with parents to encourage family discipleship and support.
EVENTS & CAMPS
Assist in planning, promoting, and executing HSM events, camps, retreats, service projects, and outreach opportunities.
Actively participate in all HSM activities and church-wide initiatives.
ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNICATION
Provide administrative support for communication (emails, texts, social media,registrations, and attendance tracking).
