Job Description
We are looking for a talented SchoolPsychologist for the school year.
Hourly Rate Range: $52.00 - $66.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' academic, cognitive, and social-emotional needs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and behavior.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to develop intervention strategies.
Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and crisis intervention as needed.
Maintain confidential records and documentation per Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
Provide training and consultation for staff on mental health, behavior management, and student wellness.
Required Qualifications:
Master's or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited program.
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a SchoolPsychologist Endorsement (issued by the Illinois State Board of Education - ISBE).
Nationally Certified SchoolPsychologist (NCSP) preferred.
Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.

Salary Information
This position is in the classification of SchoolPsychologist - Senior. It is a 0.88 FTE and considered a full-time school-year position. Depending on qualifications, the salary will be between $30.00-$43.66 per hour (approximately $54,912-$79,950 per year, prorated for the 0.88 FTE). For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at time of hire.
This position is eligible for an additional $1.00 per hour add-on for fluency in American Sign Language (ASL). This position is in pay schedule 12, range 63. A one-year probationary period will be required.
This position offers excellent benefits. The State of Wisconsin is a qualifying employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
Job Details
Special notes: Candidate must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) upon hire. An American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) rating level of at least 3+ by the end of probation is required.
Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a SchoolPsychologist (61 or 62) with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The 2018 Summer School Program will begin on June 18 and will continue until July 19, 2018. Psychologists will work 5 hours per day or as needed dependent on IEP minutes to be met, Monday Thursday. Attendance is mandatory at all professional development sessions scheduled on June 13 & 14, 2018.

Responsibilities:
* Participate in the identification and solution of school problems;
* Develop/evaluate IEPs and BIPs;
* Consult with the classroom teacher to help the teacher better understand and work with particular classes of students;
* Communicates effectively with administration, other staff members and parents;
* Attend and participate in IEP meetings;
* Complete necessary paperwork according to district, federal and state policy;
* Effectively intervenes in a crisis;
* Perform other duties assigned by the Special Education Coordinator/Administrator.
Qualifications: Must hold Illinois Type 73 Psychologist License

What We Need:
The SchoolPsychologist will be directly responsible to the Coordinator of School Psychology and the Special Education Director of Programs and Services.
Responsibilities:
* Identify children with educational, social, and emotional problems who need special help;
* Serve as a consultant to administrators, classroom teachers, parents, and other school personnel on matters related to the adjustment and educational problems of individual children and groups of pupils;
* Serve as a consultant to teachers and administrators;
* Give direct services to children and their parents;
* Promote an educational climate that is in harmony with the educational, social, and psychological needs of children.
Specific Duties:
* Educate school personnel about the role and functions of a SchoolPsychologist;
* Serve as a consultant to administrators, classroom teachers, and other school personnel on matters related to the adjustment and educational problems of individual children and groups of pupils;
* Educate school personnel to identify and refer children who need school psychological services;
* Conduct preliminary and comprehensive psycho-educational studies to appraise the social, emotional, behavioral, and educational status and needs of children referred for school psychological services or for additional supports, such as a 1:1 paraprofessional, which may require an observation form to be completed;
* Make recommendations to school personnel pertaining to: the management of pupils in the school environment; educational adjustments to meet the needs of children (levels of instruction, methods, materials, remedial services, etc.); and placement of exceptional children in special education classes and programs;
* Assess and communicate the results of psycho-educational diagnosis to school personnel and parents through conferences, staffing, and written reports;
* Facilitate all initial and re-evaluation IEP meetings (with the exception of Speech and Language - Only and OT/PT);
* Attend annual meetings in which a change of placement (more restrictive), in district or out-of-district, is being considered;
* Create "save as" documents for IEP amendments;
* "Unfinalize" IEPs upon the request of a case manager in order to make modifications;
* Assume the role of LEA Representative upon request of the Principal for initial and re-evaluation IEP meetings;
* Provide follow-up services to determine to what extent recommendations have been implemented as well as to appraise the efficacy of recommended changes;
* Participate in in-service programs, formal and informal, to help school personnel; (a) recognize the needs and problems that children experience; and (b) deal appropriately with the needs and problems of individual children and groups of children;
* Work with parents to help them understand the needs and problems of their children and manage their behavior in a constructive manner;
* Participate in efforts to improve the mental health climate of the schools, and contribute to the solution of psycho-social-educational problems such as drug usage, truancy, racial conflict, suicide, depression, anxiety, drop-outs, social skills, etc.;
* Function as a member of building level RTI teams, grade level teams, and individual problem solving teams in order to contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to pupil management;
* Participate in research projects that pertain to the learning and adjustment of pupils;
* Participate in public relations activities in order to promote the acceptance, support, and use of school psychological services;
* Maintain lines of communication with various outside agencies that provide child and family services and make appropriate referrals;
* Provide support, instruction, technical assistance, and ongoing monitoring of progress toward measurable, identified goals for students at individual, group, or systems level;
* Providing support, training, and technical assistance during the data analysis and progress monitoring process for staff and parents;
* Serving as a consultation leader in the building during the RTI process;
* Providing consultation on legal and ethical concerns that arise in the building during the RTI and special education process;
* Providing consultation and developing prevention programs that are consistent with the RTI academic and behavior model;
* Involvement in data analysis and evaluation, using data outcomes for implementing plans at an individual, group, or systems level;
* Observe, consult, assess, and give feedback on the fidelity of classroom instruction and intervention implementation;
* Participate in crisis intervention efforts in the building and district level;
* Keep abreast of new information, concepts, and developments within the field of school psychology in order to update one's knowledge and functional skills;
* Implement best practices in the area of school psychology which include actively participating in the IEP process;
* Identify the area(s) in need of additional assessment and data collection;
* Provide a quality explanation of the eligibility process to parents;
* Summarize the procedural safeguards and evaluation results;
* Perform such other duties as may be assigned by either the Coordinator of Psychological Services or the Special Education Director of Programs and Services.

Location: Multiple Locations
Duties and Responsibilities:
* 1) To provide differentiation in small group direct instruction
2) To provide instruction and support to students following a prescribed curriculum and curricular materials; implement instructional routines and learning strategies as outlined in curriculum and as presented in professional development sessions
3) To ensure that students are actively engaged and provide individual help throughout each session with the focus of student growth
4) To administer a pre-test and post-test
5) To progress monitor and record student growth
6) To submit daily attendance
7) To communicate with parents as necessary and as required
8) To communicate with classroom teacher on progress monitoring results
9) To provide student supervision as required during student arrival and dismissal times
10) To supervise students during the transition time after school and ensure that the snack provided by the District is given to students each session and supervise students at dismissal;
11) Please note: Bilingual Thursdays are mandatory. If after school tutoring sessions are held on these days, the after school tutor must secure a substitute or reschedule the after school session in order to be able to attend Bilingual Thursday.
12) To attend mandatory professional development specifically for the after school program provided after school
Other Duties and Responsibilities:

* Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Illinois Professional Educators License with Bilingual Education endorsement is required plus appropriate certification and licensure required especially for High School positions
