Position Summary
Candidate will work out of Fori's Shelby Twp. Michigan facility and will report to the Controls Engineering Manager for the Assembly Group. Candidate must demonstrate the following to be considered:
Engineering a project or acting as the engineer on a small project.
Leading an engineering group or acting as a leader of a project.
Control panel concept and design based on line-ups from the Mechanical Engineering department.
Guarantee the workability, completeness, and accuracy of all designs. Control Project Engineers shall be able to properly understand the design and all the aspects of a control panel. Complete designs include: schematics to layouts and Bill of Materials, standards and regulations.
Coordinate with other Project Engineers regarding schedule, design concepts and other status information on areas of concern.
Ensure that designs are consistent on the project.
Participate in internal and external design reviews of deliverables.
Ensure that all designs meet either Fori or customer standards.
Fully document and maintain engineering records for incorporation into engineer's job book.

Read and write software on assigned areas. Ideal candidate shall understand ladder logic, function block diagrams, structured text (SCL) or similar programming languages.
Performed startup of any equipment.
Provide engineering liaison to manufacturing and field service departments.
Create and maintain software design plans.
Create and maintain commissioning plans.
Develop controls architecture
Shall be able to conduct engineering meetings and customer meetings for hardware or software design.
Demonstrate experience in startups, new program launches or retrofit projects.
Demonstrate knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols.
Requirements
Education: B.S.E.E. degree, Controls Engineering or related field.
Training or certifications on project management, agile or scrum will be considered.
A background in controls (PLC, HMI and PC programming) at least on Rockwell or Siemens platforms.
Knowledge and experience using AB software such as: Logix Designer, Factory Talk View, Factory Linx, Drive tools.
Knowledge of HMI and SCADA development systems (MES, FIS, IIoT).
Knowledge on fastener tools or DC tools: Stanley, Atlas Copco or similar.
Reporting and documenting using office tools.
Minimum 4 to 8 years with proven experience in project execution and commissioning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Who you are:
A master's or PhD in electrical engineering/computer science with an emphasis on machine and power electronics control systems is required.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in high-performance motor and/or multilevel power converter control systems.
A strong understanding of AC and DC motor types, drive systems, and control theory is necessary.
Experience with PID loop control strategies and knowledge of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) schemes are important.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with closed-loop vector control, whether sensor-based or sensorless.
Past design experience implementing motor control strategies for various motor types, such as Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) or Field-Oriented Control (FOC), is also desired.

Electrical-Mechanical Maintenance Technician will maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial systems throughout the facility along with performing basic maintenance tasks and completing project work while maintaining safe working conditions and following prescribed safety practices both independently and in a team environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform duties required to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
Interpret, install, and modify control systems including programmable controllers, drives, etc.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repairs for equipment.
Interpret and maintain documents, prints, and schematics.
Follow and perform preventive maintenance schedule for equipment.
Provide a flexible schedule for unexpected repairs and variations in workload.
Research suppliers, contractors, and companies used to repair, replace, and/or manufacture parts including submitting purchase orders.

MIG welding experience is helpful
