Support the Quality Assurance Department in the maintenance and documentation of partner training records. Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, Human Resources, IS, Sanitation, Support, Home Office, and other pertinent plant partners. Validation and verification audits to ensure plant compliance with SQF elements.
Assures measurement is in place to document outages, demonstrate performance of plant departments, and individual plant partners against the Safe Quality Food Standards.
Develop forms, registers, and standard operating procedures for SQF processes that comply with SQF program and organizational requirements.
Develop measurement tools which show compliance/non-compliance with Safe Food Quality Standards as established by the program.
Disseminate information to plant partners and leadership to demonstrate compliance and potential for improvements.

Position Summary
Nestled at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers, our factory has been a cornerstone since 1910. As one of the largest manufacturers in the region, we ship countless truckloads and railcars of beloved brands like Fancy Feast, Friskies, and Pro Plan. Beyond our mass production, our Jefferson factory proudly donates 1.2 million cans of food annually, supporting over 40 animal shelters and organizations. Our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As Factory Quality Technician, you will provide analysis of ingredients to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. You will be performing multiple chemical tests of finished product samples and escalating tests when needed.
* Analytical testing, entry, and update of specifications.
* Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of lab equipment including maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.
* Facilitate internal and cross functional projects that improve quality functions across various departments in the factory, including St. Louis Quality support, as needed.
* Identify trends and reactions to out-of-specifications as appropriate.
* Coordinate external services for calibration of equipment and equipment maintenance.
* Support Total Performance Management process (TPM) including use of RedZone and Poka.
* Follow laboratory practices and lab safety manual guidelines.
* Serve as a backup to QA Tech as needed.

* HS Diploma or GED equivalent
* 1+ years of experience in quality, food manufacturing, or related environment
This position has a salary range of $45-59,000. Please note that the salary provided is a good faith estimate for the position. WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
