Material Handlers are also responsible for the transportation, stocking, and staging of manufacturing raw and processed inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Move raw material into inventory once receiving is complete. * Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to make space available for new inventory. * Assist with unloading incoming raw material. * Return and restock material to inventory. * Systematically ship product using company application software. * Assist in disposal and stocking of non-inventoried items; including cardboard, trash, and scrap material of red rack items dispositioned as scrap. * Provide material requirements to Manufacturing team * Perform duties involving the use of mobile mechanical equipment, including forklifts. * Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. * Maintains regular and predictable attendance. * Use a computer/electronic equipment to perform data entry. * Must be able to interact in-person with coworkers and the public, in a collaborative team environment. * Must be able to handle high stress situations. * Exhibits values that reflect the company core values: Integrity, Empowerment, Sustainability and Compassion. * Perform other related duties as assigned. This person will deliver and pick up finished aluminum materials and products while providing excellent customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CDL-A: Drive truck with capacities greater than 26,001 lbs. with flatbed trailers. Understand and ensure consistent compliance with all federal, state and local laws / regulations, and company policies / procedures regarding the FMCSA. Perform upkeep on equipment. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations Obtain signatures for delivered goods Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions. Consistently provides prompt and courteous service to customers. Communicate to customers and coworkers in a clear and professional manner. Secure cargo for transport, using straps, blocks, chain, binders, or tarps and protect materials from weather, as needed. Perform daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and reports any safety issues immediately. Maintain company equipment inside/out in order to ensure both cleanliness and safety. Must have effective communication skills in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to interact in person with coworkers and the public. Operate forklift to move materials Move raw material into inventory once receiving is complete. Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to make space available for new inventory. Assist receiving with unloading incoming raw material. Return and restock material to inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Utilizing machinery for the transfer and cutting of material. Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station. Mark materials with identifying information. Retrieve material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Safely execute loading and unloading in restricted spaces. Must be able to apply mathematical concepts in order to: read a tape measure and calipers, comprehend decimals and fractions, among other calculations.
