ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Utilizing machinery for the transfer and cutting of material. Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station. Mark materials with identifying information. Retrieve material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Safely execute loading and unloading in restricted spaces. Must be able to apply mathematical concepts in order to: read a tape measure and calipers, comprehend decimals and fractions, among other calculations. Must have working knowledge of using and understanding feeler gauges for the squaring blocks Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination Fork-lift experience (preferred), or ability to become certified in fork-lift operation SKILLS AND ABILITIES Familiarity with use of a computer and applications.
