SUMMARY The Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for execution of Nature's Way supplier quality management programs to ensure suppliers and externally produced products meet or exceed corporate quality requirements and are compliant with relevant regulations including 21 CFR 111, 21 CFR 210/211, and 21 CFR 117. This is achieved through maintaining supplier documentation, resolving nonconformances and out of specifications, conducting supplier quality performance reviews, developing supplier relationships and auditing new and existing suppliers. The Supplier Quality Specialist participates in departmental and cross-functional project initiatives. This role works with Supply Chain to execute sourcing initiatives for new suppliers, with the Quality Control Laboratory when setting specifications and conducting out of specification investigations, and with Product Development to help commercialize new products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: *
Execute processes for component and product qualification, establishing and maintaining specifications for external raw materials, packaging components, bulk, and finished goods. * Issue supplier nonconformance notifications. Review and approve the related corrective action responses. * Conduct thorough, accurate, and timely out of specification (OOS) investigations. Make related disposition decisions, and material reviews. Ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken. * Review and approve supplier deviations, rework plans, and change controls. * Support investigations of customer complaints. * Maintain master data and documentation, including the approved supplier list, in business information systems (SAP, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), TraceGains). * Facilitate the supplier qualification process and the execution of related quality agreements. * Participate in supplier audits when needed. * Participate in continuous improvement efforts for quality, compliance, and efficiency within processes, suppliers, and products. * Represent QA to suppliers, customers, internal stakeholders, and on projects as assigned. * Build relationships with Supply Chain and key suppliers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement in quality and compliance and to mitigate quality risks. * Monitor supply quality performance with data. * Maintain cGMP documentation and records to ensure compliance with quality standards. * Adhere to company GMPs and policies when in production environments. * Other duties as assigned. SUMMARY
The responsibilities of the Packaging Technician position include maintaining high sanitary standards throughout the preparation, set-up, and operation of the designated jobs, while meeting the high quality packaging specifications within a safe work environment. The Packaging Technician is also responsible for continuously working towards the improvement of quality in all operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate and monitor assigned machine(s) to detect product defects.
Perform job duties within the established quality control guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Complete all job related documentation accurately and timely.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness of work space, equipment, and materials at all times.
Perform cleaning duties of workspace to maintain sanitary conditions before, during, and after a new job is introduced into the area.
Produce finished goods that are defect-free, properly identified, and within the established standards.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and other tools as required to perform essential job duties.
Notify Supervisor or Manager if any discrepancies arise, such as but not limited to: safety, quality, operations, or health concerns.
Knowledgeable in basic mathematics.
Follow the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.
Flexibility in assigned work schedule to meet business needs.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
PACKAGING TECHNICIAN I (0-24 Month Period)
Must be proficient in two Packaging Zones (Zone 4 + 1 other)
Review and begin building knowledge of required SOP and cGMP guidelines for position.
Perform quality verifications.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Build partnerships through team work and communication.
Completion of all training guide requirements.
Independently operate packaging equipment, pack, stack, and perform line quality checks.
Accurate documentation is required.
Ability to independently troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions.
Knowledgeable in safety policy and lockout/tagout procedures.
Complete all established Technician I requirements within a 24 month period.

SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer will identify operational and process improvement opportunities; manage all phases of capital projects from conception to completion; work with operations and departments across the organization to identify and support continuous improvement projects using data analysis and input from Associates. This is a hands-on position.
Projects will be implemented using solid project management processes to meet schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction deliverables. Engineering/reengineering activities will be characterized by accuracy, durability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. (FDA, OSHA, regulatory requirements related to the nutraceutical industry, etc.). Propose, design, implement, and validate process improvements throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform process and system evaluation of production and production support processes. Identify, define, and lead continuous improvement projects to improve overall efficiencies and reduce downtime and waste.
Plans and implements the design of plants, offices, and production lines to maximize the use of available space and improve production efficiency.
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives by leading and supporting projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc.
Responsibility to manage capital projects, including project definition, scope, cost & ROI analysis, scheduling, layout, construction/installation supervision, punch list, and controlling and reporting activities.
Participate in selecting, approving, and developing equipment and assemblies to satisfy production, distribution, and facility requirements.
Design and develop new concepts, devices, and components to improve efficiency within the facility.
Develop relationships with outside contractors, equipment suppliers, machine, and fabrication shops, etc. to outsource design and fabrication work using minimal internal resources.
Review equipment and facility layouts, analyze space utilization to reorganize workflow, restructure job duties, maximize operating efficiencies, and address ergonomic issues.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or other related engineering discipline; and a minimum of three to five years related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is strongly preferred.
Prior experience with conveyors, bottling equipment, fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, box erectors, case packers, etc. is a plus.
Direct project management experience with capital projects as they relate to new equipment, systems, and processes from project conception through completion is required.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar computer design programs is required.
Knowledge of DCS (Digital control systems), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), computer programming, and integration of PLCs into server systems for the purpose of data acquisition or data transfer is a plus.

SUMMARY
The responsibilities of the Packaging Technician position include maintaining high sanitary standards throughout the preparation, set-up, and operation of the designated jobs, while meeting the high quality packaging specifications within a safe work environment. The Packaging Technician is also responsible for continuously working towards the improvement of quality in all operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Operate and monitor assigned machine(s) to detect product defects.
* Perform job duties within the established quality control guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
* Complete all job related documentation accurately and timely.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness of work space, equipment, and materials at all times.
* Perform cleaning duties of workspace to maintain sanitary conditions before, during, and after a new job is introduced into the area.
* Produce finished goods that are defect-free, properly identified, and within the established standards.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and other tools as required to perform essential job duties.
* Notify Supervisor or Manager if any discrepancies arise, such as but not limited to: safety, quality, operations, or health concerns.
* Knowledgeable in basic mathematics.
* Follow the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.
