Properly wears personal protective equipment as supplied and directed by the company; wears uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP/ company standards. Communicates/coordinates with others to maintain and assure proper product flow. Assists other members of the bakery team where needed (breakdowns/emergencies, etc.). Performs sanitation, production, and/or shipping functions as required by plant supervision, as well as other duties as directed by plant management. Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures including safety and work rules. All of our truck drivers are home daily and all routes are local. Pay is $29.13/hr. This position starts in the evening between the hours of 6pm and 8pm. 8 to 12 hours a day with a 45 hour week guarantee Days off will be Saturday and then a day during the week (unless OT is needed) Responsibilities: Drives truck to deliver full line of Schwebel's bread products on pre-determined route. Delivers and unloads product using delivery equipment and checks product in with company shippers and/or customer representative. Return company's empty equipment. Performs daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment prior to commencing route. Performs daily routine vehicle condition report on truck and/or trailer. Reports any and all issues or problems encountered during run to Distribution Manager/Supervisor. Provides courteous, prompt, and professional customer service at all times. Other related duties as assigned, such as mailbags, etc. Keep interior of truck organized, clean, and smoke free. Requirements/Qualifications: Must be able to drive manual Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). 2-year minimum driving experience with CDL with verifiable safety record a preferred. Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements and the Federal Motor Carrier guidelines. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to work in all weather conditions including snow and ice. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, climb in and out of trucks, push, pull, and reach on a daily basis.
