SAIC is seeking a Senior Automation & Knowledge Management Specialist with an active Secret clearance to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). This role focuses on optimizing business processes and implementing scalable knowledge management solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on system requirements, design, coding, configuration, testing, system administration, and end-user support.
Develop, configure, and maintain knowledge management and process automation solutions using SharePoint, M365, Power Platform, Dataverse, and other technologies.
Provide expert guidance and recommendations for short- and long-term automation and knowledge management strategies tailored to OUSD(R&E)'s evolving needs.
Design, develop, and manage custom SharePoint sites, workflows, and solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
Identify areas for improvement in current processes and systems; implement business process optimizations.
Offer architecture, configuration, code development, system administration, and functional support on Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 projects.
Use Power Fx to create and maintain custom formulations and complex workflows across Power Platform, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide SME-level expertise in SharePoint, M365, and Power Platform tools.
Develop and integrate solutions that enhance organizational efficiency using existing technologies like MS Azure, SharePoint, and Power Platform.
Lead full-stack development efforts using low code/no code/pro code platforms.
Build enterprise-grade solutions to support high-transaction scenarios with real-time processing and delivery.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and support process modernization initiatives.
Apply process improvement methodologies to optimize internal processes and IT service delivery for OUSD(R&E).
Provide technical leadership in programming languages such as Power Fx, SQL, JavaScript, Python, and DAX.
Utilize business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau to visualize data and enhance decision-making.
Administer ongoing maintenance and continuous improvements for knowledge management solutions.
Facilitate training, knowledge transfer, and discussions with stakeholders to promote adoption of IT solutions.
Required Clearance:
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (required to maintain employment).
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree and nine (9) or more years of relevant experience, OR.
Master's degree and seven (7) or more years of relevant experience.
At least 2+ years of specialized experience in information technology or related components. Specialized areas may include:
Cloud application architecture.
Business process automation.
Business process reengineering.
Data architecture.
Activity and data modeling.
Technical Expertise in:
Dataverse (Required).
Required programming languages:
SQL, Power Fx, and DAX (Mandatory).
Additional proficiency in Bootstrap, JavaScript, and Python is preferred.

The position will lead the development of comprehensive MILCON documentation (DD1391 forms, equipment estimates, & facility layouts) and the mechanical (HVAC & plumbing) portion of preliminary construction cost estimates. The position will also engage in working with subcontractors for input and review of scopes of work and review of site studies.
The position will lead the mechanical design development of SSP facility requirements for construction documentation to ensure the constructed facility performs the necessary function of mission. A limited amount of travel to off-site locations will be required on an as needed basis to support studies and design meetings.
The position will require generating correspondence to internal/external customers, other BAE sector government property administrators, and other architectural/engineering personnel.

3-5 years of experience working within an IC Agency
3+ years of technical hands on experience with Cloud and Enterprise Architecture
Experience building, operating, and maintaining IT Systems in a national security environment
Experience managing IT vendors and software teams and holding them accountable for goals
Software development background

We are seeking a strategic, organized, and proactive Information Technology (IT) subject matter expert (SME) and thought leader with expertise in technical areas, specializing in Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, and associated platforms and tools. As the IT SME, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and will advise the Government Program Manager (PM) regarding technical questions and issues that may arise from the various systems the PM is overseeing.
This is a funded position.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Providing technical expertise in creating, updating, maintaining, and visualizing software architecture to include data and services.
Providing technical documentation to support the architecture of the portfolio of projects to include Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
Serving as a technical liaison with regard to system architecture that focuses on performance, availability, redundancy, data protection, and information security.
Collaborating with customers to evaluate mission drivers, identify challenges, define mitigation strategies, assess applications and services, develop transition plans, and develop business cases in support of Cloud and other initiatives.
Collaboratively troubleshoot IT problems as they arise.
Responding to user/customer requests.
Driving adoption and use of best practices in software development, testing, and validation
Providing technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and providing implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
Assisting the customer with technical oversight of the Service Provider(s) for the portfolio of projects.
Providing technical leadership for the integration of IT requirements, design, and technology.
Interacting with the Government regarding systems engineering IT technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
