SAIC is seeking a Quantum Network Scientist to join our team in North Charleston, SC. This is a hybrid remote role and will require the ideal candidate to be local to the North Charleston, SC area. The Quantum Network Scientist will have specialized experience (> 1 year) in at least one of the following areas. Optical Quantum Metrology: Optical quantum metrology encompasses the generation, detection, characterization, and verification of quantum states of light, including the use of quantum entanglement to enhance sensitivity compared to classical methods. Detection methods include cutting-edge single-photon sources and state-of-the-art (photon-number resolving) single-photon detectors to investigate fundamental aspects of optical quantum metrology. Optical Quantum Metrology includes developing measurement protocols and characterization tools for single-photon sources, detectors, and components. It also includes protocols used for applications such as entanglement distribution in quantum networks, synchronization of distant quantum network nodes, quantum component characterization and quantum-enhanced measurements using exotic and non-Gaussian quantum states of light. SAIC is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join on our team at our customer site in North Charleston, SC. Roles/Responsibilities: (include, but are not limited to) * Interface with a variety of protocols and sensors to collect data at edge nodes * Development of code (C++, Java, Python) for optimizing low SWaP operations in distributed sensor systems * Ensure a cyber-compliant software architecture is developed ranging from edge node to cloud resources * Develop software streamlined for DoD operations with high availability, high reliability, and minimal downtime Qualifications Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience * Experience with data collection in distributed sensor systems * Relevant experience with developing modular code suited for rapid integration of new sensors, communications, and processing algorithms * Experience with microcontrollers and interfacing with low-level protocols to ingest data, manage control systems, and pre-process information * Working experience with IoT systems and mesh networking * Experience interfacing with radar systems and software defined radios * Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance Desired Skills: * Familiarity with a variety of programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python), coding best practices, and version control * Knowledge of the ATO/ATP process and developing code compliant with DoD cybersecurity specifications * Ability to rapidly manipulate data schemas and integrate into systems' given an API * Full stack development experience is desired, backend development required * Ability to perform unit level component testing and rapidly diagnose bugs/issues * Working knowledge of containerization - Docker, LXC, Incus preferred. SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician III to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in North Charleston, SC. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Apply technical knowledge of electronics components Practical knowledge of Quality Control Create technical work instructions for new and existing equipment across multiple programs Skills in restoring equipment operation, evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance Review existing process risks, and implement process improvements with the goal to exceed performance objectives and reduce costs and schedule Some practical knowledge of science or engineering Candidate will repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication); personal and main frame computers and terminals May monitor and verify quality in accordance with established processes or other control procedures REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school education or equivalent (GED) and five (8) years related experience.
