    SAIC has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer to provide direct customer support on a critical mission. This candidate will develop technical reference manuals for stakeholders providing critical information to decision makers. They will also be responsible for maintaining customer office technical baseline and governance documentation. The candidate should have experience developing technical products and will serve as a recognized authority on the authorship and content of documents. The role will perform a variety of tasks to include: Maintain, update, and author new revisions of technical reference manuals Compile and structure researched technical information in a clearly communicated format for stakeholders Source or develop technical diagrams as necessary to assist with reference documentation Produce documentation per customer formatting and governance standards Clearly track and cite reference sources Maintain and revise as necessary baseline office documentation to include a Systems Engineering Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Statements of Work, etc. Review documentation (e.g. requirement documents, statements of work) submitted by various project stakeholders for completeness, correctness, and compliance prior to baselining SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. The Senior Technical Trainer must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and ManTech International, Inc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Performs end user training for custom software solutions. Training is focused on suite of custom client applications, peripheral device management (printers, scanners, biometric devices, etc.), and applicable policies and procedures to successfully process transactions; train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops and seminars. * Instruct participants in one-on-one, small group, large group, virtual, and ad hoc training sessions.; develop, organize, and deliver technical training and related materials in support of customers and/or company employees; work with customer and functional organizations to establish training content and objectives; conduct training needs analysis. * Design curriculum for distance learning materials, including but not limited to content outlines, learning objectives, interactive simulations and knowledge assessment questions; review application development user stories and features to determine training impact and conduct the research necessary to develop and revise training materials; develop interactive training, including but not limited to storyboard development, screenshot capture, custom template development and internal review processes that adhere to existing standards; conduct Peer and Design review of training material for accuracy. * Ensure training content is accurate based on outside feedback; monitor training changes and updates for dissemination and implementation; analyze existing training materials and make recommendations to update training processes to satisfy customer objectives; manage multiple training projects simultaneously involving successfully organizing, planning, and executing small-scale training projects from vision through implementation. * Establish a project training plan including audience, approach, design, and list of deliverables; use independent decision-making to design and develop training materials, reference materials, presentation materials and job aids. * Prepare student materials (course manuals, workbooks, instructor notes, handouts, and course evaluation forms); ensure all training materials are clear, concise, instructionally sound, and directly support learning objectives; ensure materials are 508 compliant. * Provide support for coordinating, developing, and delivering remote training to the user community; prepare reports and monitor training tasks in support of the goals of the Contractor Program Manager and the government sponsor(s) using training standards and software; provide input to the Training Manager on areas of continuous improvement; work on all the assigned duties by the management. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in education or information technology and 5 - 8 years of experience in Information Technology or Education (classroom teaching). * Experience in Customer Service; excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design * Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making. * Understand computer functions and related technical terminology and how they are applied in everyday business situations; possess thorough knowledge of appropriate hardware and software (ex. - PCs, Microsoft Windows, MS Office. * Experience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools. * Must be able to travel at least 5% domestic. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with multimedia development tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.) preferred. * Experience with webinar software (Webex, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.) preferred. * Experience with applications such as ServiceNow and Salesforce preferred. * Prior technical training experience preferred. * A current and active Secret clearance highly preferred. Clearance Requirements: * Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position.
