Compensation

The base salary is $60,000 (entry-level) - $79,000 (highly experienced). This position's base salary + annual variable is $115,000 (entry-level) - $130,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. As the Tax Director, you will lead Scorpion's tax planning, compliance, and strategy, serving as a key advisor within the Finance organization. You will oversee tax accounting and filings, drive process optimization, and scale tax infrastructure to support growth and operational excellence, perform a variety of tax, accounting, and operational duties within the accounting and finance team.
The ideal candidate is a strategic tax leader with deep expertise in corporate tax accounting, sales tax management and compliance, and voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs). This position requires a balance of technical proficiency, business acumen, and the ability to lead change across tax and accounting processes while ensuring full compliance and alignment with company goals.

What Your Success Will Look Like
Responsible for completion of federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support.
Oversight of the tax return preparation processes, working closely with internal staff and external tax service providers to ensure timely and accurate products and tax filings.
Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax work papers.
Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax close processes, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, corporate tax provision, and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and tax-compliant financial reporting.
Manage sales tax compliance and voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs).
Model tax implications of business decisions (new markets, legal entities, capital structure, or product lines), including forecasting tax liabilities.
Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Treasury to optimize effective tax rate (ETR) and cash flow.
Develop & execute multi-year tax strategy aligned with corporate growth, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and funding plans.
Design tax governance framework that scales with growth and ensures audit readiness.
Prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly recurring tax, compliance, and government filings.
Prepare and/or review various tax-specific projects and calculations, including research & development tax credits.
Manage accounting/tax systems implementations and drive continuous improvement within the accounting and tax functions.
Develop and deliver tax training to internal teams as needed, ensuring compliance and understanding of tax obligations.
Research, analyze, and interpret changes in tax law and accounting guidance, and assess impact on company disclosures.

Who You Are And What You Bring
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field.
Master's degree in Tax, Juris Doctor degree, and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Experience
12+ years of progressive U.S. domestic tax experience, including hands-on tax accounting and state/local/indirect tax exposure.
8+ years of tax experience in a growth-stage company, publicly traded company, or nationally recognized accounting firm.
Broad U.S. tax background, including strong hands-on experience with tax filings, experience with Canadian tax filings a plus.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
Experience with VDAs and sales tax.
Skills

POSITION SUMMARY
The CAD Manager is responsible for leading and managing all computer-aided design (CAD) activities supporting the development, integration, and sustainment of aerospace systems and related infrastructure. Leadership & Oversight:

System Integration & Process Improvement:
Collaborate with EVA and Station Engineering, Manufacturing, and Mission Operations to align CAD data with technical and operational requirement consistency.
Interface with IT and software vendors to manage CAD software updates, licenses, and system performance.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation tools to enhance design efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate conceptual designs into detailed CAD models and drawings.
Serve as the technical point of contact for CAD-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and support.
Support documentation, drawing releases, and data transfers for internal and external stakeholders.
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.

Compensation

The base salary range is $80,000 (entry-level) - $95,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Avionics Manager with a strong background utilizing systems engineering principles on complex systems to work on Axiom EVA. Flexibility will be key as this role and responsibilities could evolve as the program moves through various lifecycle phases.

Lead the team that develops, tests, and certifies avionics hardware that controls Life Support Systems.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Scorpion, you will generate enthusiasm for our solutions, identify and qualify prospects, and maintain a consistent pipeline of leads for our Legal or Home Service sales team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the SMB sector and looking to advance their career in sales.
What your success will look like
Support our team culture by working in the office 4 -5 days a week. This means you'll have to live within commuting distance of the office you'll be working in.
Lead Generation
Prospect, educate and qualify leads to create sales-ready opportunities
Make strategic outbound calls and emails daily
Master the ability to tell the Scorpion story and passionately convey it to potential clients
Align Scorpion solutions with prospects' business objectives & needs
Stay updated on industry trends and the technology landscape to be a trusted resource for prospects and clients
Team Collaborator
Work closely with sales reps to schedule prospect calls, meetings, and demos
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies
Gather key prospect data from initial conversations, the web, and other sources ensuring clean and accurate date entry into Salesforce our CRM
Exceed monthly quotas for qualified appointments, demos scheduled, and deals closed
Who you are and what you bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
1+ year of sales or other relevant experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is an advantage
Must have sales ability demonstrated by past experience in a similar role(s)
Positive attitude and demonstrate a high level of perseverance to excel in a rewarding role
Knowledge of digital marketing solutions is a plus

Compensation
We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.
The base salary is $50,000 (entry-level) - 60,000 (highly experienced). The base salary + annual variable for this position is $65,000 (entry-level) - $85,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary + annual variable range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
Interview Process
Initial Phone Screen: 30-minute call with a recruiter
Sales Assessment: Less than 25-minute online assessment
First Interview: 30-45 minute Zoom meeting with the hiring manager
Second Interview: 60-minute in-person panel interview with the sales management team

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, integrate, and manage complex engineering challenges across the spacecraft. Several subsystems must work together to successfully complete the mission which include: avionics, power, propulsion, environmental control and life support, guidance, control & navigation, rf communications, structures and mechanisms, and robotics. Additionally, the commercial spaceflight module must integrate with the launch vehicle and survive and operate in low earth orbit.
