Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the U.S. AML Monitoring and Testing Department (“M&T”), Global AML, Global Banking and Markets (“GBM”) by ensuring that specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. What You'll Do
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Assists in developing and maintaining a robust AML Monitoring and Testing (M&T) Program including participation in annual test planning activities, developing Test Plans (aka Test Scripts), creating and/or updating Trends Sheets with appropriate testing attributes to ensure key risks and controls are subject to testing.
• Conducts less complex monitoring and testing reviews (either as the Lead for simple projects or as a participant for more complex reviews) on U.S. AML-ATF and Sanctions activities to ensure the effective and compliant execution and sustainability of the U.S. BSA/AML and Sanctions Compliance Programs and in accordance with the Scotiabank Enterprise AML and Sanctions Testing Standards and U.S. Addenda and procedures, as applicable.
• Identifies, tests and evaluates key control points, ensuring that the scope and extent of work is in accordance with the approved Monitoring and Testing Plan.
• Ensures internal control weaknesses have been identified, errors have been quantified as appropriate, problems and associated impact are properly defined, documented and reported.
• Ensures written results are comprehensive and well documented (including, but not limited to, sampling criteria, sampling methodology, trend sheets, test results) and accurately identify BSA/AML and sanctions risk factors.
• Ensures that Management Action Plans (“MAPs”) are appropriate and adequately address the risk of the issue.
• Assists in the validation of ongoing remediation activities by issue owners in order to determine whether such remediation activities are in accordance with the agreed upon MAPs.
• Assists in developing meaningful, robust metrics and reporting of findings and progress against remediation objectives.
• Performs ad-hoc, special and/or focused reviews as necessary.
• Works with U.S. AML Risk personnel and business line representatives to assist in the development of training, where appropriate, based on test/review results
• Promotes a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
• Monitors the regulatory environment for emerging issues, legislation and policy requirements. Keep abreast of trends and industry best practices through review of regulations and guidance issued by regulatory agencies and publications.

Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the U.S. Legal Department by providing day-to-day legal support on a broad range of matters across multiple businesses and operations of the Bank, with a primary focus on commercial contracts, outsourcing and information technology services.

Purpose

Purpose
The US Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) will support the MD & US CISO in building robust United States technology risk (includes all non-financial risks such as Cyber Risk, Availability, Resiliency Risks and Operational Risk ) related controls and processes and ensure they are maintained and adhered to in the assigned portfolio. Purpose

Purpose

Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the GBM&T Compliance Department in the U.S. ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. • Support Compliance Testing Program in conducting reviews based upon the regulatory requirements, processes, policies, procedures to assess controls within the first and second lines of defense.
• Understand the applicable regulatory requirements to ensure testing is adequately designed to identify potential control gaps and non-compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist team in responding to regulatory inquiries, initiatives, audits and examinations.
• Support reviews through the planning/scoping, fieldwork and reporting phases.
• Escalate potential issues and exception items noted during the review process to senior management.

Purpose
The Cyber and Regulatory Audit Manager will participate and manage various aspects of information security, cyber risk assessments, and contribute to the overall success of the U.S. IS&C's governance, regulatory compliance, and risk program.
