How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) - 2nd Medical who excels in this role:
· Completes initial and ongoing assessments.
· Assessments include physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care abilities, educational, age appropriate, cultural and discharge planning needs.
· Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
· Documents patient care given.
· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
· Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
· Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
· Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
· Employee supervises others.
· Assists with orientation and training of others as directed.

Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care.
Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides.
Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel.
Completes initial and ongoing assessments.
Assessments include physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care abilities, educational, age appropriate, cultural and discharge planning needs.
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Discusses assessment parameters and scoring for CIWA. Defines treatment guidelines based on assessment findings/scores for CIWA.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

To render professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care. Essential Functions:
Communicates with multidisciplinary team members by sharing pertinent patient data and needs. Provides accurate and timely handoff communications. Keeps patients and their families informed about their care.

Provides patient and family education in regard to the hospitalization/admission, medications, and/or in preparation for discharge. Upon discharge, provides appropriate discharge instructions to include follow-up and referral needs.
Uses safe medication practices (Read Back, double checks) and documents outcomes such as patient response to new medication, side effects and adverse reactions. Completes medication reconciliation upon admission, transfer and discharge.
Demonstrates ability to care for patient with Mag sulfate for preeclampsia/preterm labor care for patient with Pitocin Induction/augmentation care for the patient with a fetal demise. Care for the patient during labor and delivery. Care for a post-operative cesarean section. Care of a post-operative gynecology patientcare of a post-operative pediatric patientcare for the infant requiring oxygen. Care for the infant with IV/Antibiotics. Care for the infant requiring phototherapy. Evaluate non stress test. Assist physician with intrauterine pressure catheter insertion. Assist with and care for the infant with circumcision. Care for the preterm infant. Perform car seat test.
Initiates and maintains amnio infusion.
Demonstrates placement of NG tube/NG feeding.
Assists with orientation and training of others as directed.
Employee supervises others.

The Cath Lab team provides specialized cardiovascular care, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care throughout cardiac catheterization and related procedures. Supervises, teaches, and delegates to other personnel in activities related to nursing care.
Performs all aspects of cardiac cath lab patient care in an environment that prioritizes safety and minimizes risk of medical/healthcare errors.
Completes initial and ongoing assessments, including hemodynamic monitoring and pre-/post-procedure evaluations.
Formulates individualized plans of care; revises plans based on patient response to treatment; evaluates effectiveness daily.
Assists with all Cath Lab procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, device implantation support, vascular procedures, and emergency STEMI response.
Administers medications, monitors sedation levels, and manages patient response during procedures.
Documents nursing care accurately and timely.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, provider, patient, and family.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and education needs.
Provides patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, medications, and follow-up care.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient, ensuring protection of patient rights.
Assists in orientation, training, and competency development of staff as directed.
Non-Essential Functions: Performs other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
Current Registered Nurse to practice/work in the state of NC
Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
1 recent year of Cath Lab RN experience required.
Preferred experience in multiple Cath Roles, such as circulator, scrub tech, and/or monitoring.

Job Summary
A Registered Nurse, Clinical Coordinator assists with the daily coordination of personnel and resources within the scope of assignment. Acts as the liaison between the nursing departments and all of the ancillary departments to promote continuity of care, optimal patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, cost efficiency and compliance.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse, Clinical Coordinator who excels in this role:
Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities and performance evaluations.
Collaborates with physicians, nursing, pharmacy and other healthcare team members/departments to determine, coordinate, and provide medical nutrition therapy.
Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
During tour of duty, maintains constant communication between all nursing areas and the registration area in order to facilitate a smooth through put of patients.
Provides basic direct patient care as needed.
Insertion of PICC lines when ordered by the physician.
Accesses Hickman catheters and port-a-cath lines when needed.
Responds to all in emergencies to guide and assure appropriate outcomes.
Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
During tour of duty, rounds on all procedural patients.
Provides 'just in time' education for staff during tour of duty.
Assists physicians with procedures.
Reports all incidents or unusual events to their Director or appropriate supervisor.
Provides moderate sedation when required. Knowledgeable of policy and procedure.
Understands and practices within the scope of practice as an RN.
Abides by and promotes the behavioral performance standards as set by the facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Wound care experience preferred.
Management/Leadership experience preferred.
Applicants should have a current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Additional requirements include:

Job Description
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios.
Able to manage ventilators, cpap/bipap, vapotherms.
Able to titrate and maintain critical drips on the ICU patient, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire/transfer.

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is responsible for providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN in this specialty is skilled in managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, and assisting with deliveries. The L&D nurse collaborates with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, compassionate, and effective care to both mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Labor and Admission Assessment:
Assess and monitor the health of pregnant women at various stages of labor, including gathering health histories, vital signs, and physical assessments.
Perform non-stress tests (NSTs), monitor fetal heart tones, and evaluate uterine activity for signs of labor progression.
Educate patients on labor and delivery processes, pain management options, and what to expect during childbirth.
Labor Support and Monitoring:
Monitor the progress of labor through regular assessment of contraction patterns, cervical dilation, fetal heart rate, and maternal vital signs.
Administer medications, including epidurals, Pitocin, and pain relief options, as prescribed, and monitor their effects.
Provide continuous emotional support and pain management throughout the labor process, using comfort measures, including positioning, breathing techniques, and offering encouragement.
Assist with amniotomy, if necessary, and other procedures as directed by the healthcare team.
Assisting with Delivery:
Assist obstetricians or midwives during vaginal deliveries, including providing instrumentation assistance, suctioning, and other necessary actions during the birth.
Participate in cesarean section procedures by ensuring the sterile field, assisting with the delivery process, and providing immediate newborn care after birth.
Perform neonatal resuscitation and initial assessment of the newborn's health immediately after delivery.
Postpartum Care:
Monitor the health and recovery of both the mother and the newborn in the immediate postpartum period, including assessing vital signs, bleeding, and uterine tone.
Assist with breastfeeding support, including teaching proper latch techniques, positioning, and addressing any concerns related to infant care.
Provide education on postpartum recovery, self-care, and newborn care, such as diapering, bathing, and recognizing signs of illness.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document all assessments, interventions, medications, and patient progress accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) to maintain compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.
Maintain accurate and timely records of labor and delivery processes, including patient and fetal monitoring results.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other healthcare team members to plan and implement individualized care for each patient.

Infection Control and Safety:
Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment for labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Ensure that all equipment used during labor and delivery is properly sterilized and functioning, including fetal monitoring devices, IV pumps, and delivery instruments.
Emergency and High-Risk Situations:
Recognize signs of complications, such as fetal distress, preeclampsia, and hemorrhage, and initiate appropriate interventions or escalate care as needed.
Respond to obstetric emergencies, such as shoulder dystocia, uterine rupture, and neonatal resuscitation, utilizing appropriate protocols and teamwork.
Administer medications and interventions for high-risk pregnancies, including managing complications like hypertension, gestational diabetes, or infections.
Patient Education and Advocacy:
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding labor, delivery options, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
