Michael Braithwaite joined ClearOne (NASDAQ CLRO) in November 2009 through the acquisition of NetStreams, where he was the CTO and co-founder and has lead a distinguished twenty-year career as a visionary, disruptive innovator, and proven leader in the professional audio and consumer electronics industries. He has authored more than fifty U.S. and International patents. He has served as the Chief Strategy Officer for ClearOne until January 2014 and through four successful acquisitions. Currently he is the senior vice president of the multimedia and streaming products division, he also manages all ClearOne Intellectual property.

Before NetStreams, Michael was a product and market manager for Crestron Electronics where he worked on highly successful audio and video distribution products such as the CN-AMP series and PVID just to name a couple.

He has served as the Chairman for the Consumer Electronics Association's R10 working group technical committees and on the Unified Communication Interoperability Forum (UCIF), and the AVnu Alliance marketing and technical committees to promote Audio Video Bridging AVB, an active IEEE member and is very active member in many technology standard efforts. He also co-authored the ANSI/CEA-2030 AV Infrastructure standard.
