The Opportunity

The Screening Operations Team facilitates various screenings and reviews in Netflix's in-house facilities. We aim to deliver exceptional service and experience to our filmmakers and creative executives. The team supports a rapidly expanding slate of current and upcoming screening rooms in LA and worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Screening Technician to join the LA Screening Operations team at this exciting time of growth.

The Role
The Screening Operations team is committed to cultivating a creative environment, fostering filmmakers' confidence in Netflix's creative services and facilities while also preserving creative intent throughout the post-production exhibition process. In this impactful role, you will be bringing expertise to highly complex projects and facilitating screenings and reviews in various room types, including Digital Cinema projection-based screening rooms, consumer-grade Screening Lounges which are designed to emulate a high-end subscriber experience, and technical review spaces that support critical playback of work-in-progress content.

You will partner and liaise with various Netflix user groups in Post Production Management, Content Creative, Licensing & Acquisitions, Publicity, Awards, Marketing, etc., to ensure exceptional execution. This role is not restricted to only supporting and facilitating screenings but also becoming an involved partner and leader in industry defining initiatives with the goal to elevate the experience in our facilities while also optimizing our services. Qualifications5+ years working in a high-volume motion picture exhibition, post-production, production, live production, or studio environment in a client-facing capacity Deep knowledge and experience of content creation, post-production workflows, and exhibition standards encompassing Digital Cinema, sound processing, color science, calibration procedures, playback performance, and picture and audio mastering. Experience with theatrical equipment such as Barco, Christie, QSC, and DolbyUnderstanding of audio and video signal flow Understanding of DCI specifications and/or SMPTE standards is preferred Knowledge of digital audio and video file formats, including but not limited to DCP, IMF, Quicktime, EXR, DPX, etc.Elementary network skills Familiarity with post-production software such as Avid Media Composer, ProTools, DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront Transkoder, Clipster, and Shotgun is a plus. Mac and PC proficiency Ability to learn, operate, and troubleshoot consumer gear, including AVRs and emissive screens Passionate about our culture and values in the workplace

Qualifications & Required Experience of a Make Ready Technician

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Available to work on-call during nights/weekends and Company events.
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.

• Previous apartment industry working with multifamily residential or commercial buildings required.
• Knowledge of safe use with equipment used to perform job duties.
• Must have an eye for detail, have high work ethic standards, and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge and experience with the proper use of standard equipment, tools, and chemicals necessary for satisfactory job completion.
• Standing, walking and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
• Frequent climbing balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 25lbs or more.
• Must be willing to work an occasional weekend as needed.
• Valid State Issued Driver License to operate motor vehicles on private property.
• Ensures excellent customer service to prospective and current residents, to promote quality living experiences for all residents.

Make Ready - Employee owned tools required

• Assists in preparing vacant units for occupancy, including: Assists with scheduling, monitoring and performing work orders, as needed, such as painting or carpet replacement.
• Assisting with inspecting vacated apartments, diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Drywall, Painting or any other related tasks.
• Will be assisting with work required to complete upgrades as changing plumbing fixtures and installing ceiling fans.
• Performs work order requests as assigned
