Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Health Screener to conduct biometric health screenings and blood draw screenings at various client worksites. The Health Screener will be responsible for performing clinical assessments, including capillary/ finger stick blood testing, blood pressure measurements, and biometric testing, while maintaining a high standard of patient care and confidentiality. This is a PRN position with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work across various locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current medical certification/ licensure in one of the following:

Paramedic
Phlebotomist
Medical Assistant (MA)

Blood Collection: Perform fingerstick collection using standard clinical methods for analysis. Ensure all blood collection is conducted safely and accurately.
Biometric Assessments: Measure and record height, weight, BMI, and waist circumference for client employees as part of their health screening. Perform manual blood pressure measurement and record results accurately.
Health Documentation and Privacy: Accurately document all health screening results and patient information promptly using electronic documentation on tablet provided for the event. Ensure the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) and strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
OSHA and Health Standards: Follow all OSHA guidelines for proper biohazard disposal, ensuring all materials and waste are managed in accordance with safety standards. Follow infection control procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE such as gloves and masks, when required/necessary.
Customer Experience: Ensure a positive, efficient, and professional health screening experience for each participant. Address any concerns or questions regarding their results or the screening process.
Escalation and Support: Escalate any issues or concerns to the Onsite Coordinator for timely resolution. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the screening event.
Event Setup and Cleanup: Set up screening stations at the worksite prior to the event and ensure proper layout for efficient workflow. Perform event cleanup after screenings, ensuring the area is left clean, organized, and free of biohazardous materials.
Maintain Availability: Keep your availability updated in the staffing portal to ensure proper scheduling and selection for events.
Follow policy and procedures- Outlined for working events and those in preparation for events, including completing required training and staying in compliance on any required personal professional licensure/certifications.
Communication- Have a professional presenting email address. Most communication is sent to your email, and it is required to review all communication/updates from Health Advocate to stay up to date on job requirements.

The Clinical Trial Central Screener (CTCS) will be responsible for centralized clinical support for patient screening at SCRIs network of community-based medical oncology practices. The CTCS will partner with various SCRI departments (including but not limited to Personalized Medicine, Genospace, Therapeutic Development, Research Operations) for central screening services. The services will include 1) clinical trial patient identification 2) remote chart review for clinical appropriateness 3) communication with site personnel when appropriate clinical trial candidates are found.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Clinical support for clinical trial central screening process
Serve as a liaison between SCRI network sites and Personalized Medicine Operations team to provide feedback and make adjustments to processes and technology tools
Aid in the enhancement of SCRI's precision medicine software platform, Genospace, to more efficiently match patients to clinical trials
Escalate appropriate issues to supervisor to enable timely resolution of any issues during the central screening process
Support the deployment, training, and utilization of Genospace at SCRI network sites
Lead and facilite routine internal and external cross-functional meetings
Build and maintain strategic relationships across the organization

The Clinical Trial Central Screener (CTCS) will be responsible for centralized clinical support for patient screening at SCRIs network of community-based medical oncology practices. The CTCS will partner with various SCRI departments (including but not limited to Personalized Medicine, Genospace, Therapeutic Development, Research Operations) for central screening services. The services will include 1) clinical trial patient identification 2) remote chart review for clinical appropriateness 3) communication with site personnel when appropriate clinical trial candidates are found.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Clinical support for clinical trial central screening process
Serve as a liaison between SCRI network sites and Personalized Medicine Operations team to provide feedback and make adjustments to processes and technology tools
Aid in the enhancement of SCRI's precision medicine software platform, Genospace, to more efficiently match patients to clinical trials
Escalate appropriate issues to supervisor to enable timely resolution of any issues during the central screening process
Support the deployment, training, and utilization of Genospace at SCRI network sites
Lead and facilite routine internal and external cross-functional meetings
Build and maintain strategic relationships across the organization
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge:

Business Experience - Experience working in a clinical research environment (within a SMO, CRO, sponsor, site) and a deep understanding of the oncology clinical research setting is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and interpretation of clinical research protocols, and experience in a clinical setting analyzing patient charts is required.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The probate pre-screening team meets with adult clients in the community who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis that are otherwise not seeking treatment voluntarily. Probate pre-screeners are responsible for providing brief mental health screenings, crisis intervention, and appropriate recommendations for care, and service referrals to a diverse population of clients. Pre-screeners will file affidavits with Probate Court when clients meet criteria for involuntary commitment as outlined in Chapter 5122 of the Ohio Revised Code.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides probate pre-screening assessment services for clients in the community to determine whether they meet criteria defined in Chapter 5122 of the Ohio Revised Code.
On community referrals where probate criteria are thought to be met, complete necessary documentation for Probate Court and present case to magistrate.
Strong and persuasive writing skills, such that affidavits include detailed factual (i.e., concrete & referencing specific actions) information as well as risk-relevant clinical data.
Assesses potentially dangerous situations and takes appropriate precautionary measures to assure client/worker safety.
Serves as liaison to local hospitals, courts and agencies concerning pre-screening procedures, laws, or problems associated with commitments. As liaison representing Netcare, presents self at all times in a professional manner.
Screen and investigate inquiries from community resources (family members, agencies, safety forces) regarding the need and appropriateness of an evaluation.
Consults with clinical leadership to assist in risk management and clinical dispositions in a comprehensive yet succinct manner that respects the time-sensitivity of probate referrals.
Assesses and appraises risk from both clinical (i.e., risk of harm to self or other) and administrative (i.e., risk of negative outcome) perspectives.
Assist public officials to assess and disposition individuals they feel may have mental health problems in the community.
Works collaboratively with other treatment providers, agencies, and client's supports to assist the client in resolving his/her crisis and avoid involuntary hospitalization when possible.
Maintains timely and complete documentation of services and activities, which meet the standards of Netcare and accrediting agencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
