JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment of various sizes and weights for mining and mineral processing facilities operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week such as bulldozers and excavators in support of active mining operations. This earth moving position will work collaboratively with a team of 8 to 10 operators, under the direction of the Production Shift Supervisor, focused on the safe and efficient delivery of raw ore to mine processing facilities and management of sand tails.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily activities
Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures.
Safely and efficiently operates various pieces of mobile heavy equipment including bulldozers and tracked excavators.
Identify and promote opportunities to improve mine safety performance, act as a safety leader.
Safely drive and maneuvers equipment into position for digging, loading, hauling, dumping, pushing, and/or spreading material in designated work areas.
Receive and execute written or oral instructions regarding material movement or excavation.
Ensure operation of equipment is within machine capabilities and limitations.
Performs pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
Complete production reporting and other documentation as required.
Responsible for routine vehicle inspections, fluid/air checks, fueling of off-road equipment.
Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.
Ability to assist maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance and repairs as needed.
Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
Goals for the role

Experience operating equipment preferred but not required to include tracked excavators, wheeled loaders, track type tractors (bulldozers), motor graders, and skid steers. Training to be provided.
Ability to work a rotating schedule and/or varying shifts and must be punctual in adhering to established start times; attendance at work is an essential function to the performance of this position.
Ability to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a motor vehicle check.
Physical Requirements:

Douglas-Guardian is looking for field representatives to perform inventory inspections at business locations on a part-time as needed basis. All work is scheduled by the field representative and must be performed during normal business hours Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekends. A knowledge of inventory finance, retail dealership operations, or floor plan financing is beneficial but not required. A willingness to learn and function within a team atmosphere is important.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform physical inspections of dealer inventories and reconcile to dealer records.
Communicate effectively with dealer and home office personnel.
Verify collateral, assess condition, and provide prompt and accurate reporting.
Schedule and route inspections to ensure efficient completion within required timeline.
Utilize a company supplied tablet PC in performance of services.
Possess a smart phone (Android or IOS)
Skills & Qualifications:
Flexible schedule and available during weekday business hours.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Willing to travel within a 100-mile radius.
Comfortable using mobile applications.
Detail oriented and willing to learn.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Promoting and practicing safety awareness
Prioritize on time performance to meet customer needs
Pick up and drop off our customers safely to their destinations
Provide excellent customer service
Communicate timely with our Dispatch Center
Open and close all doors/hatches for the crew members
Report any defects, mechanical problems, or missing items found during vehicle inspection to your supervisor

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate must:
Be at least 21 years old
Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience (personal or work-related)
Must be able to pass a post offer drug screening, MVR, and homeland security background check
Be able to arrive to the branch location within 30 minutes to ensure on-time performance is achieved
