Leads and delivers multiple mixed complexity projects through consistent communication with project stakeholders and cross functional teams.
Develops, analyzes, and manages all touch points of the project plan including responsibility for scheduling, global resource forecasting, managing project financials, and providing input and justification for costs and budget impact.
Monitors and controls the overall project performance (timeline, budget, and resource utilization) against plan and develops and implements adjustments when issues are identified and require resolution.
Drives the work for complex and large project teams by recommending or requesting resources to support project demands, communicates a clear vision of business project goals and objectives, and provides functional expertise input for deliverables worked on by the team.
Holds project teams accountable for meeting or exceeding expectations by coordinating team activities, managing milestones and deliverables, providing performance feedback to team members' supervisors and guidance on smaller less complex projects managed by more junior Project Managers.
Controls and mitigates project risks by performing the qualitative and quantitative analysis of risks and trigger events, planning risk response, establishing contingency plans, anticipating dependencies affected by ongoing project changes, and recommending ways to mitigate future risks to management.
Manages the alignment, buy-in, and support of project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management.
Manages designated work streams and constituents to meet customer and business needs by translating business plans into tactical action items and provides training and development opportunities for lower-level project managers.
Responsible for tracking and reporting on key metrics (i.e., deliverables, duration, benefits) and communicating findings to program managers and top management.
Manage the full project life cycle including requirements gathering, creation of project plans and schedules, obtaining and managing resources, managing budget, and facilitating project execution, deployment, and closure.
Maintain detailed project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, issues lists, and risk management plans.
Monitor the creation of all project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards including design documents, test plans, training materials, and operations documentation.
Create and communicate project milestone documents, dashboards, ROI tables, and departmental success metrics.
Experience.
6 years' experience working on and/or managing project(s) involving the implementation of project life cycle methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, process management, organizational change).

Position Summary

For one our long-term multiyear projects, we are looking for an Agile Scrum Master out of New York, NY (Remote till COVID). Responsibilities: - Doing everything possible to ensure delighting customers - Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Guiding the team on how to get the most of out self organization
- Guiding the team on self organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
Required Skills/Experience:
- First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
Preferred Skills/Experience (Any of these is a plus)
- Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills

**Job Description:**
The SAFe Scrum Master coordinates an agile development team, ensures all activities use the principles of the Scrum Framework. The SAFe Scrum Master work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The SAFe Scrum Master leads teams through work actions that can be completed within timeboxed iterations called sprints and tracks progress through 5-minute stand-up meetings. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 8+ years of experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or Agile methodologies
+ 5 years of experience with the SDLC
+ 5+ years of experience in contributing to a large, matrixed organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
+ Excellent communication skills, leadership competencies, and high level of emotional intelligence Experience in working in multi-team environment
+ Prior insurance operations background
+ Technical documentation abilities
+ Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology
+ Working knowledge of Agile Project Management Tools
+ Scrum Master certification
+ Previous experience planning and managing large projects
+ Prior experience in the health solutions industry
+ Working experience with IT teams both offshore and onshore
