Learn more. **Position Summary** The Scrum Master will drive Agile delivery excellence across development teams by owning Jira governance, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring disciplined prioritization, refinement, and execution of both project and BAU work. This role is hands-on with Jira and responsible for enforcing Agile standards, managing ticket flow, tracking sprint performance, and reporting meaningful KPIs to business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and committed to enabling teams to deliver predictable, efficient, and high-quality outcomes while continuously improving processes and team effectiveness. ****This position is not available to residents of California**.** **Responsibilities** **Agile Ceremonies & Coaching** + Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives. + Ensure proper story refinement and readiness, partnering with Product Owners to maintain healthy and prioritized backlogs. + Reinforce Agile best practices and provide foundational coaching to team members to improve maturity and consistency. + Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. **Jira Management & Ticket Governance** + Serve as the primary administrator and governance owner of Jira workflows, fields, ticket structures, dashboards, and reporting. + Ensure consistent ticket quality by validating acceptance criteria, story points, dependencies, tags, impacted teams, and refinement status. + Oversee triage and routing of BAU tickets, ensuring proper classification, priority assignment, and alignment with governance rules. + Partner with developers, BAs, and Product Owners to ensure tickets are assigned appropriately and moved correctly through the workflow. + Identify and resolve workflow gaps, bottlenecks, or misalignments to maintain a clean, compliant, and actionable backlog. **KPI Tracking & Reporting** + Track, measure, and report Agile KPIs to business and technical leadership on a recurring basis. + Maintain visibility into team performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. + Produce regular reports highlighting sprint performance, defect percentage, backlog health, team velocity, delivery predictability, and cycle time. + Provide sprint summaries and insights to ensure teams stay aligned with goals, deadlines, and capacity expectations. + Support resource allocation discussions by providing data-driven insights into capacity and workload. **Cross‑Functional Collaboration** + Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, PMs, and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities and dependencies. + Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand impacted areas and ensure tickets are tagged and routed appropriately. + Communicate impediments, risks, and delivery expectations to leadership and cross functional teams. + Assist in release readiness coordination with development and QA teams. **Learning & Continuous Improvement** + Develop a strong understanding of the business domain, applications, and teams to improve ticket tagging, prioritization, and triage accuracy. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to evolving Agile practices, governance, and team standards. + Continuously learn and adapt methods to support team productivity and organizational agility. **Other** + Perform other miscellaneous duties, as needed. **Behavioral Competencies** + Highly organized with strong attention to detail. + Collaborative, team-oriented, and proactive in resolving issues. + Comfortable enforcing process standards and holding teams accountable in a constructive way. + Adaptable, curious, and eager to learn the business domain and systems. **Qualifications** + Expert knowledge of Jira configuration, dashboards, filters, and workflow management. + Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and backlog management. + Ability to analyze sprint metrics and turn data into meaningful insights. + Familiarity with Confluence, workflow diagrams, and Agile documentation. + Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology groups. + Background in cross‑functional collaboration across product, business analysis, and engineering. **Education and Work Experience** + Bachelor's degree preferred.     CDM Smith is seeking a Product Management Lead to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This position is for a person who has demonstrated excellence as a product manager or product owner and enjoys framing a problem, shaping & creating solutions, and helping to champion implementation of technology solutions. As a member of the Digital Engineering Solutions team, this individual will also engage in research and development and the incubation of innovative ideas that arise from around the company. This role is highly business-facing, with a strong focus on coordinating stakeholders, organizing their input, and ensuring development teams clearly understand business needs and priorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in the field of product management, with a mindset of continuous learning and curiosity leading to tangible results. Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Digital Enablement, the duties and responsibilities for this position include: - Roadmap and vision: Leads and oversees highly complex and/or large commercial product roadmaps through collaboration with internal stakeholders and market strategy, sales and development teams. Prioritizes, refines, and manages the product roadmap for existing and proposed highly complex or large solutions within the market segment to meet key market and internal customer segment adoption milestones in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industries. Conducts foundational user research to gather and prioritize client needs and product requirements. - Stakeholder engagement and requirements: Leads the process of engaging with internal customers and partners to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and understand business workflows. Conducts and guides more junior staff in conducting stakeholder feedback sessions, workshops and/or interviews. Translates feedback into user stories and use cases for implementation. Shares and communicates information about products to customers and users through blogs, white papers and presentations. Ensures that stakeholder input is organized, documented, and communicated in a way that can be clearly understood and acted on by Product Owners and development teams. - Quality and testing: Performs acceptance testing for moderately to highly complex products. Documents findings and details to troubleshoot defects/bugs/errors. Works with the development team to replicate findings, perform root-cause analysis, and define a resolution. - Team coordination and delivery: Responsible for maximizing the output of the development team. Participates in product development from conception to launch. Works day-to-day with development teams to oversee the flow of technical work, including participating in routine Agile meetings. Leads collaborations, facilitates sprint activities, and creates and communicates requirement artifacts that translate business needs into executable requirements. Provides oversight and guidance to more junior product management and/or quality/test staff during product development, with a strong emphasis on coordination, clarity, and removing cross-functional blockers rather than owning detailed technical design. - Risk Management: Communicates risks and partners with management to implement mitigation strategies. Contributes to the development of controls for an identified risk and obtains approval. Escalates risk events and/or gaps in a timely fashion through retrospectives and/or risk forum participation. - Go-to-market, go-live and communications: Partners with marketing to help develop and maintain go-to-market plans and sales collateral for products of high complexity or large size. Leads product demonstrations, delivers presentations to customers and prospects, and creates supporting marketing collateral for both internal tool launches and client-facing digital solutions. - People leadership: Leads, coaches, develops and trains assigned team members. Monitors staff workloads and provides team resources needed to ensure delivery of a high-quality outcome to complete their jobs. Provides ongoing feedback of performance to direct reports and may conduct performance reviews.
