Pros of working at Seacamp Association

I met some amazing people while working here! Some friends I continue to have since and will for life. The experiences that I had here helped me to grow. I got certified in lifeguarding and CPR/First aid for free. I learned a lot about Florida ecosystems. The training was pretty comprehensive. I learned how to drive boats on my own and was able to live in the FL keys!!

Cons of working at Seacamp Association

Where to start? I lived in a tiny room with four other people. We lucked out by having our own bathroom, many others had to share a bathroom with kids. We were told from management that our opinions didn't matter. We were only there to fill in space until the next people came. They did not care about us or our well being. I had two massive sicknesses while I was there and was told flat out that I needed to work through it (sinus infections and diving don't go together). We barely had any time off and couldn't ask for time off. We were expected to work long hours and many days in a row. The pay was atrocious. We were not respected for our work. DO NOT WORK HERE, unless the few benefits outlay your literal mental sanity... And this isn't only my perspective. The multiple friends and acquaintances I have from here have also had PTSD type feelings about this place.
