About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Assisted Living to oversee the daily operations of our Assisted Living facility. This individual will provide strong leadership, fiscal responsibility, ensure high-quality resident care, and foster collaboration across departments while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a large, diverse staff working 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with nursing, dietary, activities, and other departments to ensure seamless resident care.
• Serve as a primary liaison with residents' families, ensuring clear communication and compassionate support.
• Report directly to the CEO and executive leadership team to align operational goals with organizational vision.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities. (CA. Department of Social Services)
• Drive initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction, staff engagement, and overall community performance.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution with emphasis in geriatrics, healthcare administration, or social work or equivalent (Master's degree a plus).
• Proven experience in management and leadership within healthcare or senior living environments.

Perform fitness center opening and/or closing procedures during, before, and/or after business hours.
Instruct land-based and aquatic classes on a weekly basis.
Instruct Arthritis Foundation Aquatic (AFAP) classes weekly, after obtaining AFAP certification.
Keep accurate records as mandated by the Fitness Program Coordinator. Record FC usage and all class attendance.
Assist in general maintenance of the fitness center which includes cleaning up after classes, end of day clean-up, cleaning gym machines, dusting, sweeping, putting away all equipment, locking all cabinets, and other clean up as needed.
Manage resident systems, which includes daily resident sign-in, member tracking, ensuring that each resident has a current health screening and physician release form on file; and resident/family/associate records are maintained in properly secured storage.
