As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Broadcom, you will be at the forefront enabling our next generation Storage Area Networking platforms. You will be a technical product leader, within the sustaining manufacturing engineering team, responsible for end to end manufacturing processes and product quality, supporting our external and internal partners. You will develop engagement models with contract manufacturers, support new product introductions, establish mechanisms that help identify manufacturing or yield issues, support root cause analysis and process improvement. You are a learner and doer at heart, who continuously engages across business, technical and operational teams to achieve great outcomes. The ME is considered a product expert and should be familiar with processes and systems supporting Quality Management Systems, Product Life Cycle Management (new product introductions through end of life support), Production Program Management, Account management, Cost Control, and Revenue support. The ME should have a solid foundation in electromechanical processes, custom enclosure assembly and how it influences and impacts Broadcom's business needs. **Key Areas of Responsibility** + Drive manufacturing excellence and ensure the highest quality standards across our products + Become a Broadcom product and electromechanical manufacturing expert + First point of contact for all sustaining product, process and quality concerns + Own the end-to-end product quality lifecycle, managing metrics and drive continuous improvements with contract manufacturers and internal teams + Coordinate comprehensive failure analyses with global partners and drive implementation of effective CLCA's + Create and validate BOM structures, in Oracle PLMC tool, working closely with Doc Control + Physical FAI review and approval, including PLMC FAI creation + Author product or process deviations which define and document qualification builds + Work with Account Management on OEM product launches and various customer requests + Lead /facilitate cross-functional RCCA meetings, including Risk and Technical Assessments + Engage in NPI product life cycle management phases and provide DFX and production feedback + Define and lead cost reduction initiatives supporting annual operating plan **Essential Qualifications** + Minimum 8+ years experience in Manufacturing or Product Engineering + BS in Engineering, MBA or MS preferred + Comprehensive knowledge in electromechanical assembly & testing of computing/networking systems + Expertise in PCBA manufacturing, system integration & test, and field return repair processes & tools + Well versed in SKU and BOM lifecycle management tools, such as PLMC + Demonstrated experience in new product introductions and collaborating with design engineering and contract manufacturing on product development, engineering/manufacturing specifications, and product launches + Demonstrated background in manufacturing outsourcing and fulfillment + Experience with DFX concepts (Design for Manufacturing, Cost, Quality, etc) + Utilize quality metrics in developing, monitoring, and improving operational objectives + Demonstrated experience with business communication, can effectively communicate with business, technical and operational teams + Ability to analyze and make critical decisions with minimum data Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously **Additional Job Description:** **Compensation and Benefits** The annual base salary range for this position is $88,300 - $141,300 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
